Then for South Carolina, they chanted "You suck, cocks" (remember they call themselves gamecocks, and I have seen their cheerleaders with the shorthand of 'cocks as well).
Even though it pretty much reverted back to the old chant the next game outside of a handful of dying pockets, that wasn't good enough and the censoring rampage started.
I get the removal of Tigah Rag, and now Neck, but "You Suck" isn't profanity at all. You can't just ban traditions to bring the SS to a fricking "G" rating.
Does Alleva have a Puritan background or something?

I hope Alleva sends an E-mail to the students warning them and giving it one more try. They need to at least warn the students before it gets taken away.

The jackass students have been given plenty of warning and plenty of chances. They are just either too stupid or too big of pricks to stop being utter douchebags.

Why not be original for once in their damn lives. Instead, they ignore warnings and this is the result.
I am personally for no band playing except halftime, pre game and after the game. Play shite over the PA the rest of the time. Let the students bitch and take away seats.
They asked nicely and fairly just for you douchebags to not only ignore it, but to act even more foolish.

The "You suck" chant is funny. Stuff like that is chanted at freaking WWE events with like 5 year old kids. It's not that bad. All the old fans and admin need to stop being so up tight about everything. Warning the students would make them stop. I'm sure they would rather keep Neck than chant profanity because it is a BADASS song that gets everyone fired up.

I strongly urge the students to stop testing the Chancellor and AD. I know for a fact the Chancellor's Office is very concerned. It is my understanding that the removal of these songs are not permanent if the student section can act like adults about the situation. If the students continue to change the lyrics to other songs (vulgar), almost all songs will be removed as a secondary punishment. If that doesnt work, the drastic step is to withhold the sales of student tickets the upcoming years and sell them to TAF members. It will increase revenue. The current students dont realize that the student section has been progressively getting smaller every decade. You're giving them a reason to finally sell that section as premium seating.

ok so im in the band and yes i heard the talk about neck today on facebook but nothing was said at practice about it...So far i think its still good as long as the students keep it clean

You do realize that it was working last year, you suck was falling back and their replaced chant was gaining traction with every game.
This year there were no warnings, they just did it.
They really think they could stamp out traditions and mindsets in like 4 games?

I would like to think that in this environment, there are many, many overwhelming pressing concerns for the Chancellor's Office than what students say at a football game.
But from what I have seen of him, I doubt it. Makes O'Keefe look like Emmert.

"You suck" and "suck that tigers dick" aren't even close in comparison. If you think so then you're an epic idiot. I never had a problem with "you suck" even though it's short for "you suck dick". It's become so mainstream that it just doesn't bother me. "Suck that tigers dick" is so blatantly vulgar that it simply pushes beyond the fine line that "you suck" skirted.
Like it or not if the students keep it up the backlash will get more severe. It's funny too listening to people spout off that the students are the reason the team exists. TAF is the reason the team exists. I would miss the SS if it were removed, but now is their opportunity to GROW UP and show they are actually mature.

Yes but not because of saying you suck, the SS chanted "F*** you Spurrier" that game and you could hear it on CBS.
