I don't chant it. I respect an individual's rights, something you obviously have a problem with.

Simply because you agree with this tells me that you and all the others who think it is funny have absolutely no class. None. Ask my 10 and 11 year old...they'll be happy to tell you so. I hope it makes all of you that participate feel big and tough. Because you sound so stupid. Idiots...

FWIW, I don't say it. I also don't worry about how classy I am when I'm at a football game either.

I hope they are not on the Tigerdroppings and seeing this nice example that Prom is setting for the kids.

I highly doubt that is the case. I cannot imagine the 19 year old chanting and thinking to himself, "I am giving a big F-you to the MAN!!".

quote:

Because you sound so stupid.

I agree with this, however.

Idiots

Debatable. However, they were up for the whole game, which is something that cannot be said for the rest of TS.

I don't either, but don't worry about trying to defend your point of view. We're all just wrong, because we're child beaters and we don't know how to raise children, our moral compasses are completely skewed and our kids will never amount to anything. So sayeth the intelligent authorities.

This. I'd rather be among the drunk college kids screaming vulgarities than the crusty old folks yelling at me to sit down and be quiet.

I vote the crowd stay silent and any outburst will result in a Rodney King-like beating.

Funny how they want to be called "kids" to excuse behavior but bitch like hell if you do in any other context.

Although I am a Saints fan, at LSU games I do not care to hear the band play the stand up and get crunk song. I go to the LSU games for the tigers, not the saints.

Well they damn sure aren't kids. They're sophomoric adults. I know plenty of those around here as well.

Dude just shut up. Nobody is suggesting silence or a banning of fun...just for some kids to stop a pointless chant.

I agree that it is a dumb chant. I also agree that the "kids" shite gets thrown around on this board all the time to excuse sorry execution on a players part, or, in this case, piss poor judgment by the some in the student section. However, the main crusader against the chant in this thread has been Prom, and his "pot calling the kettle black" post in this thread make all of his arguments pointless.

I sit in the student section, and I am coming to the realization that people will just never learn.

Owe-E-Owe would have been incredible yesterday after we took the lead in the 4th, but it was taken away because of stupidity and 2/3/4th chances.

There just isn't a reason to add this BS to the end of songs, it doesn't make the games anymore fun. the only people these chants hurt are the students

i once beat the shite out of a miss st fan in the super dome at the wd baseball showdown for cursing in front of some kids,i mostly did it because he was a miss st fan acting like an arse but you need to have respect for women and children no matter how you raise your own.

First, the word "retarded" is offensive.

Second, Shreveport isn't even in Louisiana.

Again, good job with that example you're setting for her. sounds like you have a date with a pot and a kettle.

I remember being this young and dumb once. Then I graduated from high school.

FWIW, my 3 year-old daughter laughs at the word "poo-poo" in the same way some kids in the student section laugh at the words "suck that tiger dick". Same sense of humor I guess.

Yeah, they are "kids." Guess it makes them feel all adult and all.
