I am all over that too. It would screw AU and Arky at the same time. I am all in.

And Yes, I don't care if it pushes us down to a lower tier bowl.

I agree...Cotton, Cap One, Outback...it's all the same shite to me.

Let me just say my step-family is largely from Arkansas, and they are all crazy. If you travel there for a game, they don't spot you by your colors - they spot you because you are the only ones wearing shoes and deodorant.

...."Not so fast!" Arky could get effed out of the BCS with a USC victory.

mehhhh.. I'd rather the SEC continue CFB dominance with another school winning the championship..

Arkansas beat us straight up.. and they are better than USCe..They would represent the SEC better and they deserve the chance.. whether or not they have dick fans....

Has it ever happened that a conference has two teams in the BCS from the same division?? Especially with 2 others (LSU and BAMA) closely in the mix? the SEC west was out of this world this year..

One Arkansas fan walked up behind us and held a sign up that said "this guy sucks" with an arrow pointing down and stood there for what was apparently like 30 seconds before we noticed (as we were trying to get tickets)..

I had a similar encounter. Guy was hammered

I hated Little Rock. Partly because we are 0-2 when I show up there. Their fans were idiots. I took my wife, who could have cared less about football really....and she got called plenty of names after the game....while we were looking for my truck for an hour on the golf course. What kind of ignorant, redneck, deliverance crap is that? Some fat chick tried to talk trash to us after the game...she wasn't too happy when I told her she looked like their mascot....a little on the porky side.

let me add this; i've been to every sec road game except msu and s carolina. arkansas' fans are the worst. tennessee and uga fans were great. vandy fans were quiet.

kentucky fans are worse IMO...i've been to arkansas every year since 2002 and haven't had any terrible experiences...they do seem to talk more than other SEC fans

Let me first say that the LSU game being in Little Rock is absolutely absurd. A game of that caliber that is played hard by both teams every year (not to mention it being an SEC game) should be played at our home stadium in Fayetteville.

I feel sorry for the LSU fans that have to travel to our Little Rock stadium. It's sub-par and it's not even owned by the University of Arkansas. But, it's tradition that keeps us there (oh, and some Little Rock boosters).

It sucks that some people had to spoil the experience for you guys. I like to jeer the LSU folks but I don't bow up or pick fights. It's all in good fun. I may say something and then smile. There were plenty of LSU folks sitting around me. There were a couple sitting a few rows down that I got a kick out of. When they would stand up and cheer they would get up and look back at all the Arkansas fans and smile. They were clearly there to just have fun. I wish I could have sat by them and talked. But no, I got stuck beside two idiots from Arkansas who felt the need to ONLY cheer when the OFFENSE was playing. The guy next to them chewed their arse for it but it did no good. I don't know WTF they were thinking.

Anyway, long winded...sorry for the bad experience. I know a Fayetteville game would change the minds of many here. Classier fans up that way and the stadium in Fayetteville is about twice as loud during big games as the one in Little Rock since it seats closer to 80k.

This all being said, I'm sure there are plenty of LSU fans that are full of arse-ery. And to think otherwise is being short-sighted. Every fan base has them. It's just the nature of the beast. Truth be told, I've heard some HORRIBLE stories about LSU fans, specifically from those that have made the trip to Baton Rouge.

This was the experience we had.. 90 percent were good hosts.. 10 percent were drunk and assholes..
I doubt this ratio would be beat in tiger stadium..

Thanks guys.. No fault to Arky fans for the shitty stadium..

this is the vibe I got from the cool arkansas fan i encountered...seems like they dont really like it, but it is what it is...and he was from little rock

i got his vibe also, and I have no reason to believe it isnt true. However, that trip really soured my opinion on arkansas fans, just being honest.

anyway, good post

Agree with all points made. Fayetteville would be nice.

Most R Kansas fans were decent. I sat in a R Kansas section. The guys next to me were truly embarrassed when the fans chanted F LSU and LSU Sucks over and over.

It's all good.

I just hate that sorry arse stadium.

They are different, very naive about the national college football scene and obnoxious.

Why? Because it's true? War Memorial has come a ways in the "clean" area but it's still pretty much a sub-par stadium. Fayetteville is better. Period. If you don't like it, so be it. I'm not here to convince you otherwise. Stay classy, AppleHog.

There are plenty (and I use that term loosely) of obnoxious LSU fans. And naive about the national college football scene, we are not.

Been to every away venue in the SEC. Little Rock is the WORST.

I wouldn't go back for any reason.

Oh, and this whole losing to Arkansas thing. Get used to it. It will be happening a lot. I believe we own 3 of the last 5. Look for that number to increase. Woo Pig Sooie, GO HOGS!

The only thing either team should get used to is a competitive series from year to year. Arkansas isn't going to suddenly dominate LSU, that's crazy talk.

It will be a competitive, back and forth series, nothing more, nothing less.

Another perspective is from a player's mother. She told me that Florida fans were the most disrespectful toward players' parents. But she did also mention that for some strange reason the Fla Athletic department put the parents close to student section.
