You’re thinking of Malcom Mackey. Forest started playing around 92

The Astronaut DeWayne Scales at LSU is definitely in the Top 10, NBA Career wasn't much, but at LSU, there was a reason LSU was ranked higher than Kentucky.
Ethan Martin was the best Pure Point Guard LSU has ever had, there's no way he's dropping double nickels in a game, but he ran the team flawlessly and his defense was very good.

Just like Bob Knight said, “ when I looked at the other bench and seen Dale Brown, I knew……..”
Great man, recruiter and motivator, but not a good coach.

Ben Simmons/Tremont
CJ/Marcus/GTemple/Skylar
Pistol/Tasmin/Macklin
Tari/Stro/Bass/Tyrus
Shaq/Big Baby

That’s the team. If we’re hypothetically playing other all time teams I can’t put Petit out there. He’ll get cooked by any player born after 1953.

Petite was a great rebounder, and a deadly 15-18 foot shot. I think room could be found for him.
He was also one of the first NBA players to get into weight training. He was strong as hell.

Scales was 40 years ahead of his time. 6'9, could leap out of the gym, and had a nice jumper that wouldve translated to todays NBA if it had been a thing back then. But 20 foot jump shots were something forwards just were not doing in that era.

He hired an agent in the 1980 season and he convinced Scales to showcase the jump shot in the Louisville game and he shot us out of the tournament and bolted to the NBA. All the talent in the world but an absolute loony selfish prick of a player and person.

Ga Tech did not have 3 future NBA stars

Anderson was a top 5 NBA pick and had a long outstanding NBA career.

Scott was a top 5 NBA pick and had a long outstanding NBA career.

Oliver was drafted early in the second round, and while he didn't have a long NBA career, he did play 4 years in the NBA.

You act like that team he lost to was some scrub team, when in fact they made the final 4. You blow off a coach that has never been on the bench for a sweet 16 game, while talking shite about by far the best coach LSU ever had, in terms of results.

Brown run a foul with the NCAA and at the end Lester Earl finished him off. One of the best motivators to ever coach.

You said “Stars”, stars don’t average 3ppg. I’m not acting like anything so cut the cap now and quit trying to put words in my mouth to CYA. I said they didn’t have 3 NBA stars because they didn’t.

Ga Tech did not have 3 future NBA stars and we blew a 20 point lead in that game. Brown choked and couldn’t handle that team. The game had passed him by in the next couple of years. Two things can be true, he had a great run in the 80s and he blew it with his most talented rosters in the early 90s.
I say this a lot when people just shite on "we had talent" and Dale spent it.

Teams were stacked. That round of 32 for GT 89-90 had a solid squad. Anderson was FOY. Over Shaq. ACC players of they year, coach of the year, etc. And they got to the FF and lost to UNLV, no one is beating them unless they are point shaving.

It was a different time and just having Soph CJ, Frosh Shaq, Stanley wasn't the advantage people think it was for LSU.

I remember Shaq a few years later getting grabbed by the waist and pulled down while going for a dunk. You could do whatever in the early 90s.

Watch some late 70s-80s games and see what players and coaches got away with.

OK you dumb frick...and you really are.....they had only 2 NBA Stars, and one damn good college player who happened to play 4 years in the NBA and went the first of the second round. How many college teams have 3 starters that all played multiple years in the NBA. There are some yeah, but certainly not some average team. They were damn good and made it to the final 4. Jesus Christ you have such a low level IQ it is unbelievable. I know you aren't trolling too, that's the sad part.

You need to stop using IQ in your posts. That is all. Have a great day.
