That ugly chain link fence around Tiger Stadium might be history

"I want to update Tiger Stadium," Alleva said. "That includes the whole stadium and the area surrounding the stadium. Look at Alex Box, past players and teams are recognized outside the stadium. I want that same type of recognition of the former football players around Tiger Stadium.
"I want to replace the fencing and the windows. I am meeting with architects about our goals. I want to modernize Tiger Stadium. I want to provide a good fan experience for the people who come to Tiger Stadium. The product on the field is important. But, the whole game-day experience needs to be good."

Alleva has been wanting to update TS. Only problem is we were building the new Box, a new softball field, a new basketball practice facility and totally redoing the track stadium. Now it's on to Tiger Stadium.

Dear Jesus,
Please don't let them put up statues of coaches and players ala Auburn, Alabama, and Florida.
Amen.

Just the windows alone would be a huge improvement. Then the johns and concourses need improvements.

Where are we on the window project? I heard we had all the money, but when I was there in Feb. no new progress.

They won't. However, I will fight for these statues to be put up.

Used to have bushes around the field. Those went away a long time ago.
Need to redo the dorms...they added more atmosphere to the outside of the stadium back in the day.

I think something new and different should be done. Maybe a moat with alligators or a giant ring of fire.

I think the rest of the windows are going to be replaced over the summer.

I think a giant retractable sun screen should be added in over the northwest corner of the stadium. This is so that for day games we (northeast/east side) are shielded from the sun shining directly in our eyes right around kickoff and third quarter once it makes it past the west upper deck.
