I doesn't matter. As long as OU and Texas remain where they are Nebraska is screwed. No talent in state, and they won't steal them from Texas and OU. In 4 years you will continue to be reminded how stupid it was to fire Frank Solich for going 9-3.

Unless you can find a way to bring back the days of partial qualifiers, the era of Nebraska's Dominance has outright ended.

I always love these posts from other fan's "thanking us" for a coach or player...

Here's the deal Husker fan- Nebraska will never, ever return to the days of DOMINATING the Big 8, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Big 12. While you certainly will have some great years coming in the future, the rest of your league has caught up to you. I am just still not sure about Bo as a head coach. He did some nice things at LSU as an assistant, but before this year had only been head coach one game (Alamo Bowl for Nebraska).

Good Luck in the future, Husker- but the days of Tom Osborne and the Orange Bowl every year have faded to (pardon the pun) black (as in black shirts, get it??? )

Nebraska was always a national recruiting team. They will be back. To those who think of football in ten year eras as thought that is how it will remain, just think of Oklahoma, LSU and Texas for most of the nineties. All three generally stunk up the joint, while Nebraska maybe had the best four years in college football. (perhaps Oklahoma in the mid fifties was better, but the times they are a-changing)

If Bo can recruit nationally, which is the belief of most, then Nebraska will compete with Texas and Oklahoma, who generally recruit the Southern base, with a few exceptions. The fan base of Nebraska is unreal in their state. They go to football games even while losing.

I miss Bo, but he was not perfect. It took LSU a while to adjust to his system, but they did. His toughness may be what Nebraska needs.

I wasn't a big fan of Bo or his resume. Didn't he give up 50 points to Arkansas last year? Our defensive decline didn't start this year......it started about halfway through last year. 4th and 10 in overtime and you only rush 3 against Casey Dick.......... I still have nightmares about that one.

Don't listen to these clowns. Bo's "scheme" had LSU ranked in top 5 every year he was here, and top 3 in pass defense efficiency. I went to the Nebraska v. USC game last fall and had a great time. Runzel's (sp?) was good stuff. Go Big Red.

Why? These problems started with Spurrier last year in October.

Pelini was a solid DC, but he wasn't anything to rave about. For a year and a half, our defense has basically just been flat out bad. Last year, our offense was the strength of the team.
