Coach Crowe stressed that Perrilloux's suspension was not because of any legal problem nor a violation of school rules. "It is a failure to comply with one of the requirements of his personal situation."
...wonder what RP "failed to do"...

very true... I've threatened people at the varsity with a firearm on several occasions...

Actually, if you bother to read the New Testament, judging people's actions is precisely what the apostles told us to do. We are told not to judge based on someone's appearance, not to judge based on someone's wealth or their position in society. We are to judge the things that they do: "by their fruits you shall know them."
The difference is that we aren't supposed to judge people. It isn't my job to judge whether or not someone is going to hell -- that's God's job.
Of course, we are told to judge our own actions first. Jesus told us to remove the beam in our own eye before telling another about the splinter in his. Of course, none of us are perfect, and thus none of us can be saved without repenting of our sins.
I'd be happy to discuss this further on another board, as this really isn't the place for it -- I just like to correct the record when Christianity is misrepresented.
And Templars, I think that the people who are laughing are not really laughing at RP, who has my pity. I think that they are laughing at the people like you who idiotically insisted that RP should have been given another chance at LSU and that Les Miles was wrong to dismiss him from the team. I now join them and rejoice that Miles was smart enough to sacrifice a season to preserve a program.

His NFL stock will just continue to fall. The way the league is now with R. Goodell running the show, teams will not take the chances they use to with kids like this.
I think the best shot he has at pro football is in Canada, and thats a huge MAYBE. I like what Goodell is doing in the NFL. He needs to weed out twats like Pacman Jones and college kids like RP. Why should they have the opportunity to make that kind of money being a celeb if they cant follow the law or simple rules? They should learn to struggle to pay bills a little bit, then they might wake up and say, "hey, i better get my shite straight". Its time for heavy doses of reality for these clowns.

I am convinced that this young man cannot help himself. He admitted in the paper that he had a mental health condition and I believe it. I think RP suffers from oppositional defiance disorder and needs treatment...not condemnation. You wouldn't condemn anyone for their behavior if driven by a physical disease. To me, it's the only explanation that makes sense. No one thinking clearly would have knowingly engaged in behavior that could sabotage a multimillion dollar NFL payday...this young man did...I hope RP gets the assistance he needs and is successful. BTW, it's right about Pete...often he was found in the early morning hours passed out in his VW...never reported...nowdays, it'd be all over the front page.

So does Pacman and Ray Carruth fall under this category? I think not, these people are thugs who wanna live the thug life style and it does not belong in athletics. RP needs a good arse whippin, not medical assistance.

I cant give him mental health help. All I can do is condemn his actions. So I will. He needs to realize his mental health problem and be stronger than his urges to commit crimes/break rules etc. I wish he could of represented LSU and the state of Louisiana in the NFL but it is looking like he'll not even get a chance to do that on his current road. I'd like to see him represent Louisiana in the NFL and would like to see him succeed in all he does FWIW.

The day before signing day for the class of '05, UT had Colt McCoy and RP committed. Jevan Snead signed with Texas the following year.
And now we know. the rest of the story.
