but the bottom of the lineup HAS to contribute.

This is the biggest factor in our success. If we can't get any thing from those guys, it is going to be tough to win.

He was a lefty and we suck against leftys. If all they have are right handed guys left I like our chances.

Something with his arm motion had the entire line up messed up. We swung at a ton of balls in the dirt last night.

The ball had no movement

Couldn't lay off pitches out of the zone. He didn't have to throw too many strikes.

I think I heard them mention around the 6th or 7th inning last night that 6-9 batters were 0 for 10 at that point. That is unacceptable and not a formula for us to win.
Thompson through the bottom of the order went 0-15

Unless they decide to look at the first two pitches right over the plate and then swing at a ball in the dirt for strike 3!!

They didn’t use their top 2 bullpen arms.

They did Saturday and LSU hit both of them.

How about when they have the shift on, since they are going to watch the first strike, the lefties either bunt or at least act like it so the infield may change a little or get in the pitchers head that he may have to field the whole left side of the field, or maybe anybody besides bum leg morgan who looks like they weigh 180 soaking wet , try to steal bases and get into these young pitchers heads and make them either try to quick pitch or not place the ball correctly and give the next batter a chance. instead of letting them get into a groove and just pitch.

They have played an extra game and their pitching should be worse than what we have left, but I doubt it unfolds that way. If last night was an example of a guy who barely pitched all year shut us down, we may be in for a quick end to our season.
Not if they have better overall pitching. And not if they had to use less than us overall.
