Rules question: does the clock stop on an out of bounds pass when the ball goes out of bounds in the air, or when the ball hits the ground?

Just in case no one has pointed this out yet, the clock was stopped for Texas.

Clock was stopped because it was Texas. Bottom line.

Why is that? How could Texas kick the FG with 1 second left and we could not?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Come on. Why are the people on this board so dumb some time. THE CLOCK WAS STOPPED FOR TEXAS BECAUSE IT WAS AN INCOMPLETE PASS. For god's sake, there was a review. Texas had about 2 minutes of real time to get the FG team on the field. LSU had about 15 seconds. Please think before you post.

Good explanation, but don't expect everyone to understand all the rules, and there's no need to be abusive.

You apparently need more Community if you think this is even close to being abusive.

How about, don't abuse yourself with stupid comments? Then you won't have to suffer the obvious consequences...

No, it shows the lack of knowledge that ONE Miles basher has. Miles was an idiot in the final minute of the Ole Miss game. Unless you are prepared to debate that point, bashing those who believe it is pointless.

so i guess losing 2 straight to Ole Miss is quite all right since we're still in the cap one bowl?

What everyone is missing in the big picture is that Colt McCoy was almost the biggest cluster-frick in Texas last night...

You know what? I asked a question and got it answered early on. As soon as the first person answered it, I realized it was a stupid question. Brain fart - sorry. I know the rules - I was just thinking about the 1 second similarity and didn't think about what stopped the clock. The whole, think before you post thing should have kicked in. Mea Culpa for daring to litter the Tiger Rant with a post that was not highly intelligent and thought out. I know that it is the first time that it has ever happened and I am terribly sorry.

The issue is that Les should have demanded a replay of the clock. We should have had 2/3 seconds. If so, spike or snap kick on whistle. The difference was that was a time out with Texas.

It has to hit something - ground or player or fence or . . . .

Let's see. Texas had one timeout left. Final play was reviewed. Nebraska called a timeout.

Some of you really need to get a life. I really was just thinking about the 1 second left on the clock and didn't see the difference. Question asked and answered. Clearly, I didn't think it all the way through before asking. Thanks for so kindly setting me straight. The Rant is Awesome!
