Two weeks ago family and I walked into a restaurant in Lafayette and passed by a family with Texas T shirts, hats, etc. The guy spoke up as we passed them and said "I don't suppose you're an LSU fan." (Son & I had LSU shirts and hats on)

We talked for a while and the whole family congratulated us and vise versa.

Same basically happened in Dallas when there with a bunch of guys. Had a great time giving each other hell. After everyone bought drinks we didn't know what was what. Had a blast. Good guys.

It could have been worse. I was raped in rural Georgia because I strayed too far from the main road.

I always wear LSU while in Tx. I was up at Rice today talking with some of the coaching staff, they know I'm LSU all the way.

I just got a new truck, the guy setting up the XM Radio was a big Texas fan, he was looking for an excuse for the loss, but could find none.

I told him that we'll be back next year and would be looking for them again.

Believe it or not, the biggest problem I had over here in Tx. was from a UGA fan. LSU was playing baseball and the game was coming on and I asked the mgr. of Wild Wings if he would put it on one of the screens. The guy one seat over was a big UGA fan (They were playing at the time on one of the screens). He said, "Whats wrong, don't you want to watch a great team!" Then he starts mouthing off about our NC win, how Ga. would have done to us what they did to Hawaii. I said, "Man I just want to watch the Tigers play, an I got three sisters that live in Ga." Then he starts up again about how good they were playing at the end of the year. Thats it, I lit into him for what seemed like 5 mins. The last thing I said was, "Right now most preseason books have ya'll #1, let me tell you, as long as Richt is there, you'll never see a NC!" Things got kind of quiet, then a guy walks in the door, walks between us and ask, "Ya'll gonna have the LSU Game on?"

I ended up spending that night and the next at the table with that LSU fan and his friends. Oh, the Ga. didn't even finish his beer, for some reason, he walked out mad.

I live in Austin and people are still talking about it including one (ex) friend who (still) can't deal with it. The paper here does a story on each of the top 20 in football each day and did LSU 2 days ago.
They talked about how a Texas-LSU game in the Rose Bowl for the national championship would be the first "rematch" of a baseball championship in football and how its not that far fetched.

It is a great school though, great academics, pretty women, good frat parties, good sports teams, great town, good food, generally friendly kids will buy you a cheap beer. The LSU of the Big 8

FWIW, La cops nail TX people for 5 mph over and take their drivers license until the ticket is paid. So I guess the TX cop was just returning the favor.

I have never been nailed in TX for driving 5 to 10 over the speed limit on an interstate highway, but I have TX tags.

Is this jealousy or just clean police work???

I would say clean police work. The main thing I've noticed since moving to Texas are how laws are actually enforced. Probably why the crime rate is so low. I'm a Tiger fan and always will be, grew up in Baton Rouge, and after living here...... I doubt I ever move back to crooked politics and crime infested Louisiana.

I'm guessing you saw that commercial on ESPN where the Kansas cop pulled over the car with North Carolina bumper sticker and changed the teams.

Unoriginal.

I got a speeding ticket right outside of Columbus a few weeks after the NC game. I accused him (state trooper) of singling me out because of my LSU bumper sticker and tiger baited him. We had a good laugh about it and he was actually pretty cool about it...simply said that there was no excuse and we just kicked their arse. Still gave me a ticket though.
