I'm just sick of LSU fans bitching about everything from the Capital One showing us disrespect (bullshite) to Mettenberger not committing with :30 left in his game yesterday to fricking parking passes now.

It almost makes it seem like we are trying to make excuses if A&M wins...but really, do people really think the Cotton Bowl wants to screw LSU, when we play there again in September?? Think about it...

The Cotton Bowl doesn't put on the Cowboys Classic. All they do is share a stadium.

Has anyone else tried to get an RV pass this morning? I called the Cotton Bowl office this morning and was told that RV passes went on sale last week and that since Texas A&M fans already knew they were in the bowl game, they purchased all of them and are now sold out. LSU fans basically get the short end of the stick and there is "nothing they can do". I called the LSU ticket office about this and they essentially had no good answer for this and told me to call back later in the week in case something changes. This is CRAZY! How is one fan based completely shafted and no one is really gonna do anything about it?

There will be a lot or a camp grounds or a walmart parking lot that can be had.

What you just posted is idiotic

I'm dead on

just because you dont think it's "fair" (and you're right-it's not) doesnt mean I'm wrong.

From Wiki:
quote:

For 40 years the champion of the now-defunct Southwest Conference (SWC) played as the home team in the Cotton Bowl Classic

quote:

Since 1996, the game has been anchored by the Big 12 Conference........Since 1999, however, a team from the Southeastern Conference (usually a Western Division team) has matched up in the game, with Southwestern Bell (now AT&T) sponsoring the event

so let me get this straight. It's in Dallas, middle of Big12 country, has over 50 years of ties with SWC/Big12 schools, run by an independent committee not tied to the NCAA, that is full of old white men who are tied to the Big12, and you think it's nuts that a Big12 school got an official invite before an SEC school?

you're the idiot

A co-worker here in Dallas said there is a Walmart Supercenter by the stadium and they allow you to park your RV there for free. You may want to check that out.

I think it is a pretty suck-arse thing for the Cotton Bowl to do. How difficult would it have been to hold back half of the RV passes until the other team is named and given an opportunity to purchase them?
