There is a Storm north of Denham Springs, moving to Hattiesburg, MS. If you are anywhere near the stadium, please take cover ASAP

Yeah I thought it was odd. Looks pretty damn clear to me.
I also didn’t really understand what he was saying about the start time.. he said it would be 45 minutes after the 30 minute lightning delay ended. So I assume the lightning was detected before 6 PM and they stopped their pregame prep?

Fans were dying left and right in 80s and 90s due to lightning strikes. Thank God they finally have this figured out.

While I believe the SEC makes this call, the coaches have influence and neither of them (especially CJJ) want to pitch their starter and have to burn them for a rain delay.
