the most annoying thing i've ever done, apparently, is pimp an LSU player while he was our QB

For me, it was more than annoying to be called racist for being critical of our offensive production under JR in '05 and half of '06.

If our running game is struggling, we are going to need rushing yards from the QB position to have any chance at championships. JR could not or would not provide that all of '05 and up to the Tennessee game in '06. Then, all of a sudden, he has multiple near or over 100 yard performances on the ground, when his draft stock began to plummet. Was it a coaching decision, or a personal one?

I've never gotten the skinny on that from anyone I would trust to know, and have received a less than straight answer from one that might. Given his recent turn of events, I am more inclined to believe that the man had no love of the game, and dollar signs as his guiding motivation. And, that's fine. He's not the only one. But, his skin color had nothing to do with my criticisms.

I actually favor JJ to start the Oregon game, and feel that we need to have a mobile QB to win championships. Mettenberger will be needed in passing situations, but a full schedule against SEC defenses is going to produce situations that require a first down conversion on the ground from a passing down.

Not to say a pro-style QB can't win a championship (Leinart and McElroy come to mind), but QB's with the ability to pick up yards on passing downs, or convert short yardage chain movers, sure fare better over time.

And, furthermore, if JR would have returned for the '07 season and played like he finished '06, Flynn would have had to transfer to see the field, outside of holding kicks.

I doubt we would have seen a full season of that kind of effort, however.

I could definitely be wrong.

The only Tiger Cadello really likes is #2 RR because he peeked over the restroom stall while at TJ Ribs and saw his brothers tee tee.

other than that, he is just a bandwagon fan.

You got that wrong...If Max stopped posting who else besides BilJ would be here to insult me?
Although he's not my favorite person, he does make the board more interesting.
And after all aren't we all here to be entertained?

Never been to TJRibs and not a birdwatcher, but you seem to be an expert at looking at mens tee tee's.
Maybe TJRibs should put up higher stalls.

Bandwagon fans bitch at every Tiger season that isnt undefeated or every dropped pass or every missed shot. Sound familiar?

And as usual Max has 10 butthole buddies here to save his honor.

I'm very aware that JR had designed running plays used, beginning in the Tennessee game in '06.

There were ample opportunities for JR to gain uncontested yardage with DC's relaxing back in coverage. Once they had to account for him, passing lanes opened that never existed, and accuracy became less necessary.

I have to give Jimbo more credit than to think he just chose not to take advantage of his abilities.

You have to be conflicted as a die-hard LSU fan, to be so opposed to your head coach. I know, because I've spent some time in those shoes.

But, just go ahead and give the man some credit for beating Alabama, giving the eventual national champion one of their best games at their place, and finishing with a 2 loss season, when most expected 4 or greater.

I definitely feel better going forward. I'd rather talk football anyway. The man has some issues from kickoff to final gun, but outside the lines, he's got it going on, and I feel confident that a veteran QB can make those clock issues become a thing of the past, even if the sideline is incompetent.
