I'm surprised that they indy bowl didn't take USL just for attendance purposes, but you figure that ESPN didn't want two smaller Louisiana teams playing in a nationally televised bowl game. N. Ill isn't a national draw, but you figure it might pull in a few more thousand people than USL and the MAC is in bigger states like Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, New York, and Pennsylvania.

This is odd, as ULL didn't play McNeese this year, but I like he he describes them as "II-A?"
