I wish I could be in the room for tell the truth Monday. If they were really telling the truth multiple players would turn their jerseys in and the coaches would turn in headsets.

Everything about that game was pathetic and everyone involved in it embarrassed the program.

The plan Ed sold to get the gig was, "you can pay me less than what an SEC head coach earns, because I'm going to use that extra $$ and pay the best coordinators in the game." His initial plan was Kiffin on Offense and keep Aranda on defense.

But Kiffin took a head coaching job so O got the hottest name (Canada) and when that didn't work out he got lucky and found Joe Brady. It all came together, O got paid and Brady left and Aranda got run off.

Now his "best coordinators in the game" have never been coordinators before, his O-line coach has been on the job for around 4 months and the defensive coordinators are trying to undo the damage Pellini was able to do to what Aranda built in one year, with no track record that they've ever been able to do that (do you think Miami really put up a fight to keep their co-defensive coordinator who took a demotion to come be LB coach at LSU?)

So my truth is- let the season play out, but based on this season Woodward better start putting together a "wanted list" and let this season influence that.

As far as I'm concerned if Kiffin shows continued improvement this year he's the leader and then I back the Brinks truck up to UGA and bring in one of their defensive staff and by all means keep Corey Raymond.

So it's too early to name a leading candidate, maybe it's Billy Napier, maybe it's Matt Campbell, but assuming Kiffin continues to build (and this season should answer that question) the thing I like about him is, if there is one person who hates Saban & Alabama more that LSU fans, it's him. Come in here with our resources and recruiting base and build a true competitor to Saban; you can't do that at Ole Miss...

All because O wanted to run a four man front, like his daddy Pete Carroll

Kiffin could Spurrier Part II at LSU with just an average DC (which we do not even have right now in Jones)

Truth:
OL sucks
Qb has brain farts and happy feet
RBs have regressed
We only have one WR
Not sure we have a TE in order to analyze the position
DL looks like Tarzan in practice against our weak OL but plays like Jane
Our LB are cross eyed and are better at running down big plays than covering anyone at all out of the backfield or making plays at the line of scrimmage.
CB are elite but lacking some physicality
Safeties don’t understand why it’s called safety, how to tackle, or any part of the scheme

Finally - defensive communication, supposedly the specialty and big emphasis of this new staff was severely lacking, late and clearly confusing for the players.

I don’t think J Jenkins gets enough credit. But I do agree with your overall assessment.

These buyouts are absurd. Tell the truth - "I dare you to fire me."

His initial plan was Kiffin

This needs to be put to bed. Kiffin was NEVER in play, he always wanted a head job, no matter where, to begin his return arc. O knew that and also knew than Kiffin’s name was hot and would entrance the fanbase and admin. It didn’t matter to Kiffin, just kept his name in the news at a top SEC school. The PR ploy benefitted both O and Kiffin, but not LSU.

My tell the truth statement:

The reason why I am frustrated is that we pay O a staggering amount of money to coach, and there is no noticeable improvement in the team from last year, and most of the players are the same. Coaches are paid to improve players.

We are angry because the job is not being done to an acceptable level. This is not an unreasonable position. The anger… is actually grounded in reason.

This guy has always been an incompetent douche and we just gave him the keys to the program. I was kind of impartial on the title 12 stuff but now I’m not so sure. Def seems the type that only looks out form himself
