Stanfield was 1.000 fielding before today. Curiel has played a great left field with no errors as well.

Do yall not even try to look up stats before posting made up things?

Stanfield is fast, but dropping a fly ball is horrible and he has a very weak arm. Curiel is average in left. Good speed, takes poor angles and weak arm.

Just curious, did you see how hard Jones hit that ball that barely made it out? Wind is real. It looks to be dying down though in college station. Tigers Roll game 2!

he still had it deep in his glove had it squeeze and just had a bit of bat luck with the glove popping open.

could he have got the ball without diving? sure but I bet when you find out what the ball was off the bat you wouldn’t think it was a short fly ball

[quote]I played centerfield through high school and was a great defender so please don’t think I can’t judge poor play of a centerfielder. You’re the one that’s stupid. I went from Little League through high school without an error.[/

Well, I guess you made the first error of your miserable life…………that being making this post on TD.

I was referring to how hard the wind was blowing in. Jared Jones (LSU 1st baseman) crushed one as hard as he’s hit a ball all year, and it barely cleared the wall. So I was simply comparing that to a ball (2 balls) that Stanfield misplayed in center. Wind is real.

Do you even realize how they score errors in baseball for the outfield? It has to touch the glove and you miss the ball for it to be an error which is total bullshite. Stanfield has misplayed balls all year.

If Stanfield was perfect on the season, then there is some very poor statisticians, keeping record of his play this year. The whole reason I started this thread the first time was because he misplayed two balls in the same game

No, this is a message board. So Mr. Internet tough guy, I will keep on typing.

The problem is this isn’t his first game playing bad because my first thread was about him playing bad (and today wasn’t his second bad game). Just because the statistician doesn’t give him an error doesn’t mean he doesn’t take bad angles and then correct, or get bad jumps. He is lucky to have enough speed to overcome these issues most of the time.

I see he’s not starting in centerfield on the doubleheader. I guess Jay also agrees with my post.

Curiel is going to have nightmares about his trip to Auburn for the next year.
