It doesn't seem like there's any correlation between having a good signal and watching on a particular device. It's just a crapshoot.

My theory is ESPN wants you to think streaming is a subpar product to cable in their attempt to limit cable cutting. WatchESPN is garbage and they have to know and not care.
I think so too..
you can't make me believe that some random reddit streamer puts out better product than fricking ESPN? seriously?

My firestick is doing better. My streams are usually good though, tonight has been the worst this year but nothing to complain about. For me I think it's a combination of the ESPN app and COX internet.

Stream off of rocky using the sling app and comes on crystal clear and never buffers.

You're going to be more fricked when anti-Net Neutrality kicks in for full.

I had same problem. Try loading on your mobile device and casting to TV. That fixed issue for me.
Sounds crazy but this is true. I've tested it various places and casting from phone to smart TV is often MUCH better quality reliability than any other device.

I have a Roku Ultra connected by Ethernet. It is fabulous. The hard wired connection rocks.
Chromecast was unbearable.
