No way they play him, period. Too risky. Besides, he will only hurt their offense because he can't run and can't stand in the pocket.

Do you think the refs are going to be flag happy concerning Timmy?

I think you already know the answer to this. If LSU can somehow manage to knock Tebow around, you can bet your sweet arse that the yellow hankies will be flying.

Could he have been a decoy? Meyers wouldn't have done that, would he?

I highly doubt no contact in pads qualifies as a medical clearance.

You have no clue of what you speak...

There is no such thing as "partial clearance" either you or your not....being in full pads indicates that he is cleared to practice..

Docs don't say..you can let him pass and run, but don't hit him...Docs say that he is healthy enough to return to full participation...end of story...

Coaches determine how much action and what activity a players does based on the clearance the recommendations from the trainers...

If he plays, then he's fair game. If Meyer is worried about him getting hurt, then he should make him sit out. What worries me is that the officials will throw flags for even legal hits, especially late in the game if the score is close.

there is no way in hell FL risks the shite storm that will come down on them if Tebow plays and is knocked out cold/collapses.

Urban Meyer himself clearly said (I think it was on WAFB) that he will NOT try and trick us ... that we need to know who to prepare for.

I looked at my husband and asked him if I was hearing UM correctly. He looked slimy saying it ... wish I could find a link.

The ESPN linked AP story said he was in pads, wearing a red no contact jersey.

This is what I believe. I just can't see them taking a risk with this young man's life.

But if they do put him out there, there better not be any cry-babying if he gets hurt again.

UPDATE 5:05 --- From a Gator Country friend leaving baseball practice ... Tebow throwing in 7-on-7 and holding nothing back. Shows no signs of injury.

Just reported on ESPNU:

Too bad we don't still have the defense from the 2003 team....he wouldn't last a full quarter. If he's cleared to play, then the Tigers need to lower the boom and knock him down every chance they get.

. . . and per Sentinel Gator beat writer Jeremy Fowler.

quote:

Sentinel Gators beat writer Jeremy Fowler reports that Florida quarterback Tim Tebow returned to practice Tuesday as No. 1 Florida continued preparations for their game against No. 4 LSU.Tebow worked out in full pads Tuesday but did not take contact. He is practicing this afternoon with the Gators' first-team offense and Fowler reports that he seemed to pass and run normally. Tebow had not practiced at all since suffering a concussion in the Gators' victory at Kentucky on Sept. 26.He has not yet been cleared to play Saturday when the Gators face LSU in a Southeastern Conference showdown with national stakes.
