Good work by the advocate here

I think our depth on defense will be fine. We are a little thin at linebacker still. It's a good thing we signed a ton of D-lineman. Our depth or lack of experience on offense is troubling. O-line, RB, WR are very young and inexperienced. Our depth at RB and O-line are really thin.

all I can say is that LSU continues to lose most juniors to the draft and, once again, we have to use underclassmen heavily. while they are talented, it hurts to lose that much experience and leadership.

it is what it is. if the remaining guys can work hard we should have a credible team with potential to improve greatly by seasons' end.

Being young on offense won’t change much.

I’m banking on superior QB development and play calling imagination to get us the points we need to win.

Yup, we have pretty good depth despite what most here say.

Oline Depth Chart projection?

LT - Charles, Traore, Savage
LG - Brumfield, Lewis
C - Cushenberry, Smith
RG - Ingram, Campbell
RT - Deculus, McGee, Wire

We'll be really thin in the spring with two squads to play. Like last year, walk-on's will get a lot of reps. We have some talent, just pray the injury gods are kind.

Also, the advocate seems to believe our offense will be pass happy this year with little depth on the RB chart, and no real bell cow backs. I think CEH would make a good receiver out of the backfield, but I don't want to see him run it up the middle 25 times a game either.

I doubt Traore ends up behind Charles. He's the #1 tackle coming out of JUCO. Doubt he's gonna sit at all. I have a feeling both will start at the tackle spots.

Maybe more like this:

LT - Traore, Savage, McGee
LG - Brumfield, Lewis
C - Cushenberry, Smith
RG - Ingram, Campbell
RT - Charles, Deculus, Wire

The one spot I'm concerned about is center. If Cushenberry gets hurt, we're in trouble unless someone can get some experience in the spring.

Smith needs a year to add some bulk. He's talented but undersized.

Yeah, I'm hoping they crosstrain Deculus or one of the other guards at Center, possibly Brumfield or Lewis. Brumfield is the most experienced player on the line and has the build of a center. I wouldn't mind him being the starting center and put someone else at guard. Man losing Clapp hurts us next year.

We are not thin at online. Don't know why they would say that. We have 12 o lineman 9 of which are sec starter quality with 3 (smith, wire, savage) still need development. Rosenthal and Hines still could be moved if needed also

not just talented depth, but experienced depth is the problem on O-line

I think CEH is gonna surprise a lot of people. Dude seems like he’s gonna be a beast. Feels like we’re gonna rotate backs a good bit since they’re pretty much inexperienced

Yes, it does, but the guy graduated. Can't really ask much more of him.

As long as Traore pans out (which he should), we should be fine. Most years, we only rotate about 8 guys on the line. I like Lewis getting some snaps at center. It would be a way for him to get some PT. Not sure he'll sniff the field at tackle.

I think we will have better talent all around on Offense minus RB of course. I mean Russel gage was our secret weapon. Cmon. Malone at LT was a joke as well. I think better talent and coaches being on the same page will show up and b a better offense then we had last year. Qb play and oline pass protection will b the key factor.

You may be right if traore qualifies, according to dandydon this morning, he's not enrolled at LSU because he's tightening up some loose ends class wise where he went to high school.
