This is stupid, you have a felony committed on video. How can you not prosecute?
Maybe you should go to NOLA.COM and look at the shootings and murders EVERYDAY and you'll see why this case is stupid to prosecute. NOLA have waaaay more problems than some dude from Bama dropping nuts in someone's face.

If NOLA only prosecuted murders there would be nobody at OPP/OPC and criminals would be on the street.
SInce when is a sexual battery stupid to prosecute?
This video made national news. NOLA's chief income generator is tourism. Who wants to come to NOLA when people are getting sexually assaulted on Bourbon St.?

You are dumb. The city cannot choose not to prosecute, when there is complete video evidence of a crime. They have no choice. If they chose not to, it could pave the way for lawsuits against the city.

This is as much a PR problem for New Orleans as it is anything else. They have little choice, must prosecute and make it known that they will prosecute similar actions. After a few weeks in the Orleans Parish jail the guy will appreciate that what he did was really stupid. But the statute is very clear, and he is looking at serious time.

I agree. Perhaps a "Roman War Helmet" is in order?

All this moron did was double down on stupid!! His first stupid act, a felony, was caught on tape and now he let's his mouth overload his gump arse! What he should have done is said is 'I need mercy, not justice'. Does he not realize that his alleged crime was committed in LA following a pretty bad evening for LSU fans. I can guarantee that his attorney did not saction those comments. Perhaps he thought the DA was a gump but he could have googled the DA's website to find that he is a lifelong New Orleans resident and his degrees are from LA schools. Not too bright to rubs your nuts on somebody's face on camera but then he rubbed them on the DA!

Stating that it is ridiculous that the State of Louisiana would pursue a case like this
This lack of remorse or acknowledgement of the seriousness of his crime is exactly why he should do 25 years.
His lawyer put out a press release to the same effect today and, for good measure, threw in some jabs at New Orleans and its crime rate. It's pretty obvious they are trolling for negative attention in an effort to get a change of venue.

Yes, he did. In fact, the attorney even put out a press release saying the same thing, plus criticizing New Orleans for its crime rate and basically calling the DAs stupid for charging his client. They are building a case for a change of venue. How about Knoxville or Auburn/Opelika?

Maybe it's normal for you and yours to just put your sex organs all over each other for fun, but to the rest of us, it's considered sexual assault.
How often do you go up to people you don't know in public, and rub your bare genitalia up against them?

One thing for an attorney to make a statement like that but entirely different for the accused.

Why don't you enlighten everyone with what crimes should be prosecuted and what should not? Love to hear your list.

If a policeman had wandered by during the head humping I think the gump would have been immediately worried he was going to a very unfriendly local jail
Does worse than this go on? Of course, but we still arrest people for petty theft, ticket for speeding and prosecute tons of other crimes that are not as serious as murder

a lot of you vagines need to learn to fight the fights that NEED fighting.
ONE incident of a drunk football fan, essentially hazing, another drunk football fan after the national championship game is NOT indicative of the city of New Orleans or its tourism.
the guy is FROM alabama, not new orleans. it's not like he's walking the streets every night looking for someone to teabag.
fine the guy, make him apologize, & move on to bigger & more pressing issues.

This is true. However, that's not what I saw the MSM saying. Mr. Joe Blow from Boston only sees that on TV coupled with the murders and says frick going to vacation there.

Bourbon St. is very touristy. Great image for the city that tourists are committing crimes.

Newsflash: Sexual Batteries don't get fines. They get jail time or probation. In every parish/county in America.

I don't think that's what anyone's worried about.
The "hazing" you describe is considered by the law to be simple rape. How often do you rub your balls on people you don't know in public?

Sexual Battery, a felony nonetheless.
And sex offender registration

So basically he's daring the DA to proceed. Let's see how that works out for him. If he had an ounce of common sense he would STFU and let his lawyer do the talking. But if he had an ounce of common sense he wouldn't be in this predicament in the first place.
Posted on 1/27/12 at 1:04 pm to macatak911
Obviously this stupid Gump idiot still does not get it. Because he doesn't seem to understand he did something very, very wrong like breaking the law he needs to spend some time in Angola to contemplate what a stupid moron he is and yes he deserves as much jail time as the law mandates for this crime. Yes it is crime, this is not a speeding ticket. Those of you taking up for this Arse must have done something similiar or worry that you might in the future.
