It's still the Gator Bowl to me...eventually the silly Tax Slayer will do like Chick-fil-A did & drop that name for the Peach Bowl again...

I mean, Taxslayer?, what kind of gross arse shite is the world coming too...

You know, Taxslayer doesn't pay the fans for naming rights, we can refer to the bowl however we like.

If we call it the Gator Bowl, it's the Gator Bowl - no matter how much money Taxslayer lays out.

I never stopped calling the Peach Bowl the Peach Bowl, and I never referred to the Sugar Bowl as the "Nokia Sugar Bowl".

But i think more fans attend the game in Houston, its prime time TV and more recruits can come

This.

We only sold 6K tickets to the last Florida bowl we went to and only half of those who bought tickets even bothered to go. An LSU/Texas match up in Houston is pretty much a guaranteed sell out. I'd go to watch us play in Houston but I won't be spending money to travel to J-ville.

Louisville's D is legit, but their offensive line is A W F U L. Our D-line would blow that shite up.

Rick catlet( president of taxslayer bowl) also said they got a shot at Notre Dame but he says he thinks there just not that good.

Not by any means to derail the OP, but I truly love this. My two favorite teams are LSU and ANYBODY that plays ND.

FWIW, in GT23's absence, I was tracking planes on FlightAware and noticed that the LSU Lear Jet (actually owned by Air Med Services) flew to J'ville last night and is returning this morning. Don't know if Alleva flew to JAX to discuss the Gator Bowl or what but thought I'd pass it along in case it's relevant.

But every time they talk about the game or i read about it will be referred to as the "Taxslayer Bowl" and every fricking time I'll feel a retching in my stomach that my beloved LSU Tigers are playing in a bowl called that shite.

While we're on it. Belk Bowl, another despicable name.
