Tanner is only a regional adviser to the 10 man NCAA Tournament Selection Committee, There are NO SEC REPRESENTATIVES ON THE COMMITTEE ?? If the committee is made up fully or partially from conference reps how could the NCAA leave out the SEC , the best baseball conference from top to bottom and whose fan base has made collegiate baseball into the success it's become! 
I'm sure the NCAA makes sure the BIG 10 has no reps on issues dealing with collegiate hockey ?

Considering he is only an adviser rather than actually on the committee I think LSU should see this as a high compliment from Coach Tanner. Saying something like "even if you guys didn't make the SEC-Tournament, I still know how good you guys are and can be and will make sure to let the committee know about it."

I won't be pissed at all. I'll be thrilled for the Tigers. Just because I don't think LSU deserves to make the tourney doesn't mean I am not a LSU fan.

And what does "deserving" have to do with it. If you say LSU doesn't belong in the tournament, then you need to list the teams above them who do. Otherwise, you are just comparing LSU to itself, which is pointless because the whole purpose of deserving in this case is based on relative criteria.
