Hire Dabo?

The next scenario would be that Saban retires and Bama hires Dabo...

It's really simple. We lost it by getting beat down by teams who should not have beaten us down so we have to go beat team's that we should not beat to win it back

Clemson vs LSU; The difference was QB recruiting and development.

Tajh Boyd (’10-13)
Deshaun Watson (‘14-’16)

That would certainly be the hope. I think as interim's who end up getting the gig, the Dabos of the coaching world are far more the exception than the rule.

I think the majority of us hope O can be another of the exceptions.

You can draw parallels between Dabo then and Orgeron now. Both folksy, country/ cajun guys who treat the media well, willing to share their thoughts unlike the button down coaches who lead most programs. Many people sold Dabo short at the time. Lets see if Coach O can be lke Dabo and turn the doubters into b

Your parallel breaks down in that Dabo was an unknown quantity and Orgeron was already a proven catastrophic loser. We hired the worst coach in the history of Ole Miss football—think about that.

And judging by this fiasco with Matt Canada, this stuff about “he’s learned his lesson” is bullshite. Of course, I knew it was before then, but empirical evidence confirms.

Why does it matter what he did at Ole Miss over ten years ago, when he's 9-3 at LSU this season? Not to mention he led the team to 6-2 once he took over during the season last year. THAT "empirical evidence" is much more relevant in the grand scheme.

Clearly a loser he is not.

Can’t argue with this.

Actually you can.................................until the man starts losing. THEN you can make that argument. As of today, his record at Ole Miss is IRRELEVANT.

That game and the Alabama game the same year (in November) were the two most utterly frustrating games I've endured this decade. Both were defeats snatched from the jaws of victory thanks to monumentally bad coaching decisions

Clearly this board feels otherwise. The potential for Orgeron to lose big is what's triggering the daily rant melts.

Orgeron...is a defeat laden timebomb waiting to de-tonate.

LSU made O good not the other way around. He took a team that averaged about 3 loses and got a team that has 3 loses.

He went 6-2 while playing exactly 2 decent teams.

He took over a team with a slew of top 5 recruiting classs and 2 top 10 NFL draft picks (that year)
