Slight backstory... good buddy of mine has always wanted to go to an LSU home game, but never did when he was little and never was able to until I got some spare tickets to this game. Wanna give him an awesome day, but I will also for the first time in awhile not have a tailgate (dude who I run it with and has the trailer and truck can't make it). What do yall suggest to make it a kick arse day sans home tailgate?? I'm thinking:
-Lunch at Raul's or chimes
-A few rooftop beers at the chimes
-walk around parade ground/campus
-???????
-watch the band/team come down the hill
-watch the tigers dominate
Am I missing anything or any big area I should hit.... it's been years since I didn't have a home tailgate? TIA

Only do this if you want your buddy to spend half the game in the TS bathroom

Was trying to uber to campus and have the whole day be walking distance...I suppose could start elsewhere then take one more uber to get there. That being said, how is Tin roof on gameday??

Again...backup plan for if chimes is crazy... not looking for fine dining, more fun LSU experience food. Maybe looking at it through the lenses of someone who loved it when I was in college. Any suggestions...like I said would like to keep the whole day walking distance.

There is nothing and I mean NOTHING like the band coming down victory hill AFTER DARK. Everything after that will be anticlimactic.

6:00 game.
Expect the team and band at about 4:00 and 4:15.

City Slice on Chimes St. is a good back up plan. Plenty of beers to chose from and lots of TVs to watch games. Another option closer to game time is The Chute in the south end of the stadium. Something different since he's never been in the stadium.

Thanks for the city slice rec...havn't been there since it became that so I didn't know what to expect from it. Will prob end up either getting a few crowlers from chimes or a case from the cirlce K to walk with after lunch, so don't know about the chute. How is it before the game??
