I see your point, my main reasoning for the pro thing is that most of them are compensated very well, college kids aren't (hold USC

I was listening to the radio the other day and someone asked would you rather be Philip Rivers with the new big $$ or Matt Barkley, a stud true freshman starting at USC.
The guy from ESPN said "Well the pay is about the same, so I'd have to say Barkley being the starting QB and on the USC campus all day" or something to that affect.

A friend of mine played JUCO football in the 90's. He told me that even at a small JUCO school like he played at they got stuff handed to them all the time. That really opened my eyes to the big time college game. If JUCO players get benefits, I can just imagine what the big timers get. That's why I just laugh when someone dogs USC, Miami, FSU, etc for players getting things. EVERY school does it. EVERY one. Well, not the school or coach per se, but the boosters are there at all of them.

Yea, did you see that video tour that lyle hitt gave of some of their facilities? That alone was insane.

Nah, didn't see that.
The more I think about it, these "kids" are getting great educations (if they really want them), they have access to personal trainers and awesome facilities 24/7, they are worshipped by fans all over the place, they get all the hot chicks...I think they can handle a little razzing at a game when they make bone head plays.

its just a known fact that alums are bigger fans than those who didn't attend LSU.
