We had a lot of fun and the game was well worth the trip. Only negative was the scoreboard screen frequently continued to show animations and crowd shots even after the play of field started again. Missed a few plays after tv time outs when they were on the other end of the field bc the screen was late to switch over. Annoying.

IT, the holding, was absurd. If they do not get away with that, the game is an LSU runaway.

Is "Cosmi" Italian for "holding"?

LSU also had a dropped TD pass but no one is talking about it because we won. Burrow dropped a dime in the endzone and it went right off the WR's hands. (Don't remember who it was).

And we scored on that drive right after the drop. Texas didn't score after their dropped pass in the endzone, as it was a 4th down play.

My takeaway was that UT was SOOO much better than I thought they’d be and LSU (defense) isn’t quite as good as I thought.

I still think our D is good, but I thought they were 2011 good coming into the season. And they are not.

Your team sucks and your fan base is more delusional than just about any of them I've ever met

I see the statement on here that the team opted not to IV at halftime 'as they normally do'. Why in sweet Jesus' name would you pick a game like this to not do that even though it is 'normal'?

I think the IV tactic is waaaay overblown. Hydration has to take place at least an hour prior to the game. Even when you’ve got the IV in and fill the veins with more fluid, the rate of rehydration is dependent upon cellular uptake, which cannot be sped up. And, but the time you work through the steps to insert the needle and get the bag flowing, the rate of rehydration is only marginally quicker (although, the players can start drinking to rehydrate much sooner than they can get the IV going).

I simply do not think IV rehydration is worthy of the risk (infection) and marginal time savings.

The players do begin hydrating early. Sometimes guys just don’t drink as much as they need to. It was fricking hot. Guys cramp when it’s hot. It happens.
