I'm on campus early in the morning every Saturday, but I don't really have time to tailgate. I see what goes on, I know what I'm talking about.
You're still getting your panties in a wad over land that isn't yours.

I guess you could say I am in group 1 but it is not every weekend as we try and rotate responsibility to help with work schedules.
You still have not answered the question.

that's a reach. I didn't say he shouldn't be able to fly it. I just think it speaks volumes about his character, and is not that surprising in comparison to his ignorant views of tailgating etiquette.

probably for he same reason that the two assholes that decided to make a comment about it are form NY and brooklyn. Total fuking guess though.
get a load of this genius. You ever guess that the location under my name is where I'm at now and not where I'm from? I was born and raised in LA. Please don't stop posting, your posts are pure gold.

no what I was implying was that 6 people arent going to say anything to a group of 50 after there stuff was moved when they decided to show up mid afternoon.
Get it right before you start to say what other people are implying.
what i get is that nobody owns the spot... however that doesnt make it any of a less a-hole thing to do than just plop down wherever you feel like it and show up mid-afternoon.
The reason someone would do this is b/c they dont know any better....any other reason IMPLIES just one thing.... YOU ARE AN INCONSIDERATE DICK.

Why are the numbers important except for the threat of physical violence? They might have had a very good reason for being late, that still does not give you the right to put your hands on their private property.

Any other reason? Like maybe a medical emergency? So you realize now that you don't own the spot, but you are still trying to decide how other people use the spot.

What constitutes a sufficient claim to a spot?
To me, it's people. People saying- hey, we're here. Otherwise it's just freeee shiittt, mannn.
I feel like if you really want to claim a spot then keep your arse out there and stay with the spot. This whole dropping things off and leaving thing puzzles me. Everyone's uproar at people touching someone else's private property puzzles me too. If they care that much about the property, then why would they leave it alone unsupervised?
Do people that consider leaving some tents and chairs on campus good enough to claim an area leave their bikes unchained and their cars unlocked too? Maybe I'll just throw my wallet in a spot and get upset when someone doesn't acknowledge my ownership of it.
When I'm in a crowded bar or restaurant I don't just set my beers down on the table and leave and hope that people don't take my table.

i also love the people that set out chairs to "reserve" a parking place......need to have those damn chairs run over
I'm all about reserving a spot to tailgate, especially when the people who wanted to tailgate there can simply move over to an open spot, but parking is an entirely different animal.
frick holding a parking spot. I WILL be an a-hole and confront someone if they have something in a perfectly good parking spot.
