Any updates? Kid could transform our defense. With #52 and Devin White the middle will be secured.

Do people honestly thing Valentine is going to come in and supplant Godchaux or Lacatoure (both will be going into their 3rd year starting)?
Kid has a ton of potential but calm down with this whole "transform our defense" shite. He would like be a situational DT that would come in on obvious passing situations to take on 2+ blockers.

I think the transformation comes with adding depth, not supplanting. I understand the value in DL rotation throughout the game.

Guys Valentine's size don't normally play specifically on passing downs, unless they're a Vince Worfolk type talent. Valentine is 340+ Lbs the that does not equate to a situational pass rusher or passing down specialist. He would be a clog in the middle of the defense, normally guy at Valentine's size are 1st and 2nd down focused. This would give others a chance to play in more natural positions in a 3-4 base.

Here's the update, he's taking three summer classes and LSU and NCAA compliance has said if he passes all three he will be eligible for the fall at LSU. The three classes are being taken at the CC in Mississippi
