We play bammer very year. Everybody sees that you need to spread the offense to win. So is our $4 million coach the only coach in the country that can't do that at all?

This is BS. We didn't run straight up the middle against Florida. We used misdirection and even a couple trick plays. So why so vanilla vs Bama?

It's not BS. The trick plays against Florida? They were set up by successful running plays. If you ran trick p,ays against Bama they wouldn't have worked.

And we ran misdirection against Bama several times. They stuffed it almost every time.

This is the way I look at it, basically 50/50 in terms of where fault lies.

It was the players fault for getting absolutely no push what so ever in the trenches.

It was the coaches fault for making zero...zero adjustments.

High school coaches make changes to their offense each week to exploit defenses. We had 2 weeks and ran the most vanilla offense known to man. I knew after that interception the game was over. Miles would never want to throw it again.

T-Bob didn't think special teams breakdowns contributed to this debacle? Or maybe he was taking piss breaks when that was going on?

The oline didn't play great, but its hard to blame them when the box is stacked 8+ most of the game and they know your game plan

It wasn't though, they were manhandling us with 7. Several plays one dlinemen would take out two of our guys. They didn't need 8 and 9 to stop us.

It's called we're predictable
Les Miles is predictable
he thinks he can run over Alabama...which is laughable with their talent...

Our goal every year is to win the SEC West and go on the win the SEC championship. I couldn't give a shite less how we do it. We could run the Wing-T for all I care.

Our biggest obstacle to reaching our goal every single year is that team from Tuscaloosa.

Les has done a great job sustaining this program and acquiring talent to reach our goal. We are typically much more talented than every team we play except for them.

Because of that talent, thanks to Les, we can beat most teams regardless of our offensive philosophy (within reason - not advocating a Mike Leach offense). If we had Clemson's or tOSU's physical-style spread philosophy, we would have been undefeated going into last night because of that very talent. If we had Jimbo's more open but balanced offense with an emphasis on utilizing the middle of the field, we would still be undefeated.

The difference wouldn't be the number of losses, but the odds of beating Alabama. Our odds of reaching our goals would increase with an offense that has the ability to take the game away from the LOS if necessary.

We can beat basically every team on our schedule regardless of offensive philosophy (again, within reason) because of talent except for one. That one team is going to require a slight change in our philosophy because our current philosophy plays right into their hands. That one is the obstacle keeping us from reaching our goal.

Bigger crybaby than his old man. Just look at his reaction after the Tennessee game back in 2010 when he threw his helmet on the ground. Looked like a 4 year old having a tantrum in Toys R us

Stupid analysis. LSU doesn't have to go to the spread mid-season. Coaches just need to be innovative by giving defenses multiple looks. A good run game opens up the passing game and vice versa. More passing backs up the safeties and linebackers. Fournette is good enough to not need a fullback and two fricking tight ends.

I never knew T-Bob could make so much sense.

I completely agree as my news feed also became an expert advocate machine on why "5 wides", "option", and "Maryland I" would totally change the destiny of the game. How could we be so dumb to run what has worked 7/7 occasions before tonight!?

The only sensible conclusion that the LSU staff could have made before boarding the plane was that our offensive line would get hammered. Had the LSU staff realized that LF would only get 30 yards and that our passing game would not be able to compensate for our O-line's lack of productivity blocking for the run, then maybe we could have changed plans. Why would they have assumed that, though? Bama beat us with what has worked best for us.

The only time an entirely different set of adjustments can be made within a game is when one has a veteran team and there are two playable quarterbacks. See 2011. Lee was taken out and JJ was let in and since the O-line was veteran and the backs and receivers knew the difference also, then we could abandon a pro-I, play-action, drop-back passing game and add in the option and the sprint-outs. Last night, we were who we were. There was no gimmick and no chance to pull rabbits out of the hat when we haven't done anything but play I-formation, cloud of dust football all season.

Kudos, T Bob. I always thought you were just a big, nasty drunk who hated people.

Based on T-Bob analysis, LSU may never beat Alabama again while Miles and Saban are the coaches. Because Miles will always have LSU be a power running team and Alabama will always have one of the best run defenses in the country. Harris was not under that much pressure when we passed after paly action when we were still in the game.

You didn't see Eddie Jackson and Fitzgerald meeting Fournette in the backfield all game? You don't have to stack the box to play the run. But they were most definitely leaning run.

It's Miles fault for creating such a one-dimensional team. Good enough to win enough games to keep his job. Not good enough to win a championship.

Well no shite it was the o-line. The point is, go 3 WRs or more and give the o-line less people to block in the middle of the field. To say that a team of LSU's caliber all of a sudden can't adjust and utilize the endless amount of athletes we have on the outside is pretty asinine.

Since the majority of posters on here, including myself have never played on T-Bob's level, I take his opinion over any other posters.
