The only one that I recall that comes close was a Monday Night Football game in Pittsburgh against Miami in 2007. Heinz Field had been resodded prior to the game because of the Pennsylvania state finals being played there the weekend before, but hadn't been given enough time to let the roots set up. A heavy rain came through right before kickoff and turned it into slop. Steelers won 3-0. LINK

That said, that turf was still WAY better than the Cap One Bowl.
