Just so long as it doesn’t rain, it isn’t too hot, not too cold, not too late, not too early, and the opponent has to be at least in the top 10, or the other opponent doesn’t buy up 40% of our tickets. We always bring our A game!

Tiger stadium on average is a far cry from that 2012 Alabama game. But I’ll be there Saturday screaming my tail off remembering the good times.

And of course the lines are too long, once the kids get their Instagram pictures they leave, the blue hairs just have to beat traffic, the nachos are cold :blah blah:

Prove me wrong tiger nation! I would love it.

Sadly, this is kind of true. It seems like it has to be a perfect storm for us to get that legendary environment that everyone talks about. I believe we're headed back in the right direction though. If we go on to win some hardware this year that environment will return with a vengeance. It's sad that it takes that to get people really back on the wagon but it honestly does sometimes. There are a lot of people that aren't hardcore fans and they only show interest when LSU is in the title hunt. Other than that they just casually say they are LSU fans.

Winning it big is the worst thing long term that can happen to a program from a fan enjoyment perspective. Alabama fans in my experience seem to enjoy most games very little and always seem on edge because if they don’t win, everything around the program is a failure. I am very interested to see when their inevitable correct comes back to a 8-10 win season with 11-13 win seasons every so often. Those first couple years whenever it happens are going to be ugly.

There’s a lot of truth to that. There are so many bandwagon fans for Alabama it’s ridiculous. This is kind of what I was eluding too. People got frustrated after 2011 and the more causal fans just kind of lost interest. It’s kind of sad that it happens that way.

Should be on a Billboard in every city or town that we recruit. 3rd party stories from the best in sports media coverage never hurts.

Kinda agree, it's a one or two game a year thing if that.

I actually think 2012 ain't that much different than today...I think one needs to go back a good bit more than that to get to when Tiger Stadium was consistently the place the reputation gives it.

And people were saying in 2012 "Tiger Stadium is a far cry from that (insert past game here)." In 5, 10 years people will be saying "Tiger Stadium is a far cry from (insert 2019 game)." Nostalgia makes everything seem "better."

Here's how it will go. The crowd will be loud the first time Auburn has the ball. As the game settles in it won't seem as loud. Then, if the game is tight in the second half people will (a) come here after proclaiming that was the best TS has been since..... or (b) if LSU loses, talk about how horrible the crowd was as if it was THE deciding factor in the game.

Atmosphere on campus noticeably changed drastically in 2012 because of new parking and tailgating restrictions. Tailgating is an absolute shell of what it was before. Hell, even that 2012 Bama game didn’t have half the tailgates on campus as did lower tier SEC games in 2010.

Less people tailgating usually means fewer people in the stadium at game time.

People got frustrated after 2011

Much of that was due to the offense not being entertaining. Folks don’t want to just win, they want to see a show.
