Seems that's the consensus?

I'm hoping it doesn't materialize.

Seems like we would know by now if tbere were any. Don’t they usually announce these things or it’s leaked earlier than right before the game?

Vol is typically spot on, but I also know O's people see this board and what Vol has posted. They will be filtering/hiding info relative to it now....provided there's any merit to it in the first place.

There is a thread, or two, already on this, you know?

My sauce says at least one guy is out 6 games due to the green stuff. Will be announced Friday.

It’s such a shitty policy that traps kids who have grown up smoking. Rules should reflect team values and if you poll that locker room, you’d find overwhelming support for mj use

The fact there was no announcement let’s me believe if they are then it’s just for the one game. I believe anything longer than that we would know. During the pregame Saturday I’m sure it will be mentioned that so and so is being withheld from play this afternoon then Monday O will say they were suspended but are now ready to go for Texas.

Bad policy or not it is still the policy and they know that it is. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. If LSU asked me to go to school for free to play football but we just ask you to not smoke weed. Guess what? I’m not going to smoke weed.

I smoked weed when I was younger then I got a job that asked me to not do it anymore so I stopped.

LSU should sponsor a week long seminar and get it through those thick skulls that if they’re bad boys, they won’t play. What is so damn hard about that?

That's an LSU compliance policy and not an NCAA policy, correct? If so, I think that Woodward needs to get a handle on this ASAP. Isn't a six game suspension especially severe, unless it's a recurring issue? Depending on who the player is, it could derail the entire season.

A 6 game suspension for drugs means this particular kid has failed multiple drug tests.

I can't recall if a 6 game suspension is due to 3 or only 2 failed tests.

So their rulebreaking (and lawbreaking) behavior should be excused because they grew up with it?

Saying they broke the rules by smoking weed is fine. But you could fly to Vegas, blaze up, and fly back in enough time to pop a drug test without ever having violated state law (don't @ me with federal bullshite).

Since when does federal law not count?

Since federal law enforcement has declined to prosecute low-level MJ offenses.

My point is, don't make it a legal issue if it's about weed. This is a compliance issue.
