He shouldn’t be involved at all, much less publicly.

LSU had no President. Woodward released BK without authority. I say this was a mess right there, and the Governor filled the void. In spite of his very transparent and honest way of dealing with this, it was already a mess, and he clearly acted accordingly.

Look at the freaking contract given to BK. It was insane giving BK all the outs. It also have BK a clean break if he was released with no AD in place. That was a cover for Woodward. The BK contract stank, and BK stank more.

In all actuality, he's pretty smart.

I've worked directly with him and disagree vehemently.

LSU has a Board of Supervisors, and had an interim President. Absolutely nothing from the Governor was needed or necessary.

Absolutely none of the governor's concern. It has nothing to do with him, the state government, or state money.

am honestly surprised by Landry's incompetence in handling this situation

Surprised?

You obviously haven’t followed his political career.

He was all sorts of things.

Populist (1988–1989)
American Nazi (before 1975)
Democratic (1975–1988)
Republican (1989–1999)
Reform (1999–2001)
Republican (2016–present)

I'm a Republican, and I had that option and voted for Edwin Edwards. As did most of the Republicans I know who voted.

I also know several Democrats who vote for Duke. Racism really knows no political party.

my very first time to vote:

Convicted felon (multiple times) OR
Klansman.

only in Louisiana

mind you, D Duke’s early 90s policies were very much in line with what is now considered mainstream republicans, if not actually more “progrssive.”

How many good decisions are made when motivated by power and greed?

Why are you surprised? Being stupid is a requirement to be a governor in Louisiana.
