Yes,

JJ clearly wasn't the answer for LSU basketball. That was obvious after he couldn't even make the tournament with the #1 draft pick on his team.

This is my point:
CEO hasn't yet proved he isn't the guy for LSU. And until he clearly establishes that, I'm gonna support him.

To me, it looks like we are heading in a positive direction. I can see how many of you think we are not, I guess that is the argument we've been going back and forth on. Regardless, this is pretty much the first meaningful game we've played in Jordan Hare since Cam Newton was there. Let's see if O can pull this one out.

So avoid all of the warning signs that O is the same coach he was before (disastrous) and don't change course until the ship plows into the rocks.

Based on what? I would legitimately like to hear.

Obviously tons of guys want to be coach of the tigers. But legit proven coaches that can afford to be more selective don't seem to be beating down the door (maybe b/c of fans like you). We went after Tom Herman, he didn't want to be here. Dabo, Urban, your boy Saban, not coming to BR. Jimbo, maybe he wanted to be here, we'll never know. I don't know who you think would be a good hire. I haven't heard one realistic suggestion.

That has to be the best insult I’ve ever received on here.

ETA: I should probably apologize to the Tiger nation for LSU’s inability snag a elite coach.
My bad guys. I’m going to kill myself now. Love LSUcajun77

As John Emery watched from the sidelines on Saturday I'm sure all he could think about were the negative posts on the Rant.

I wish someone would ask him about the rant just so he could say "the what?"

You've been registered on Tigerdroppings for over 4 years. I hope this isn't the first time you've posted something like this. Because if it is the first time, you're late with it. Miles and his program got "bashed relentlessly online" the entire time he was the head coach.

Recruits and players read this site you know

I'm sure some do, but that never stopped Miles from bringing in top recruits year after year.

Earl, imagine what would be on this board if Miles promised a pass heavy offense that would get the playmakers the ball in space and he started the season 2-0 with an offense ranked last in the league in total yards per game while a coach in his first year at A&M doubled that yardage.

CEO takes over a 2-2 team that was in chaos. He recovers the season, finishing 6-2. Only losing a close one to bama and that abnormal UF hurricane game that Alleva set up. Beats down the Hesiman trophy winner to cap the year. Pretty good interim year if you ask me.

They lose a lot of talent after that season, 8 guys drafted. Danny Etling is still our QB. We try to get Jimbo/Tom, doesn’t happen. Let’s see what O can do. 2017 starts slow, he loses a couple terrible games and it looks bad, but he changes it up and we become a different team. We go on a tear and beat 6 SEC teams and lose to Bama. Beat our rivals Florida, stomp Ark and Ole Miss, and beat the SEC champs Auburn. I don’t care how weak the conference was, going 6-2 in SEC west is a feat. Then we go and lose the Citrus Bowl. Obviously not ideal, but I can live with that, who cares it’s the Citrus bowl, I hope they had fun playing it.

2018, no one giving the Tigers or O any credit. Media barely even ranks us. Well guess what, O pieces together a team that actually pretty good. There are some studs on this team and he gets them ready to play a primetime kick off game no one said they would win. Waxes the floor w/ Miami. Game was over @ halftime. Ran them out the building. Job well done. Then we shut out an FCS school. Now, with a win against Auburn, we are legit contenders in the SEC west. I’d like to see if he can pull this off before giving up on him. This is his chance.

Taking the program from mutiny to contender in less than 2 seasons, you can’t deny that we comin. Who else is doing that? Who else is winning games? Saban, Dabo, & Urban are pretty much winning all the games right now. You want to pick one of their unproven coordinators and hope for the best? Jimbo went 6-6 last year before beating Southern Miss in the Independence bowl.

It would be scary on here. Miles caught shite no matter what happened. Even when he won a National Championship.

This place would implode if Miles was still the coach.

we lost 3 straight, each by double digits, to Bama, Ole Miss, and Arky because we were one-dimensional, and our opponents knew it.

That’s why Les had to go. He lost a lot of the fanbase after the 2012 NC game.

125 total yards in a shutout loss, pretty good.

10 points scored in a UF loss that by all accounts sealed his fate but for Alleva biffing one of the easiest jobs ever, putting a "help wanted" ad in the FBS classifieds.

you mean the guy that was good enough for Bill Belicheck to use a draft pick on?

but he changes it up and we become a different team.

by "changes it up" do you mean "allows Matt Canada to do his job" ? very impressive. we're all very impressed.

2 teams that fired their coach and a 3rd whos coach resigned 2 weeks before the start of the season. again, very impressive. we're all very impressed.

If LSU goes 3-0 ( I have said 13-3 FWIW ) then LSU has a very good chance to have a top 5 matchup when UGA rolls into town.
