Cune:

--MCCUNE IMPROVING: Junior pitcher Kurt McCune, who has missed all season with a back Injury, could be back on the mound in a game soon. He threw his first bullpen on Monday, will throw to hitters on Thursday at practice and may pitch on Wednesday, April 10, against Southern.

“If he’s ready after that, he becomes a possibility at Arkansas (April 12-14) either as a starter or out of the pen,” LSU coach Paul Mainieri said.

McCune will work his way back into the roll of Sunday starter
I just don't see it happening. he was never really starter material in the first place

2011 Season

Mainieri, who put his team through a practice at Alex Box on Wednesday afternoon, said his “inclination” is to bat Sean McMullen leadoff and use Alex Edward as the designated hitter against Kentucky, which is expected to start three left-handers.

So I assume that Stevenson is going to the bench?

I hate not having a solid Sunday starter.

He had a good year but he never had great stuff. He's since had one bad season and two consecutive bad fall balls. If he comes back that would be great but its doubtful and this board is obsessed with the guy.

Could it be that we never get a Sunday starter and instead plan to pitch a sunday rotation of about 3 innings each??? You have to ask yourself...

Bonvillion, Bourgious, Cotton pieces together pretty although you lose the ability to make strategic L/R matchups.

But I think we can win alot of Sunday games relying on a combo of that group to give us 2-5 innings each.

A very unfortunate correlation between the Coon and JaCoby's careers

If Will Lamarche had better control and filled the strike zone up and just over powered hitters like he's capable of doing, that would free Cotton up. But it just aint happen'n!
