Negotiation or mediation is a better approach for the client, generally suing is better financially for the attorney .

A lot of times judges will order the parties to mandatory mediation before setting a trial date. Not sure if that is how it works in La.

IF LSU is playing games and there is no "cause", thats a huge bad look for LSU.

But how typical is this in a high-profile coaching situation? It looks like whoever is in charge doesn’t know what they’re doing and doesn’t want to honor a contract. Can’t see how this won’t affect how LSU appears to potential coaching candidates

LSU has already dumped their cards and said they fired BK for cause. If they are lying, lsu will not get any credible coach to come here. Lack of trust.

All of those had actual reasons to claim the coach was fired "for cause" not winning games is not a basis for a "for cause" firing.

Once BK side sees what LSU has, they will reach a settlement
It’s all about who has the leverage

If LSU had it they would have already told him. They don't have shite and he knows it otherwise he would not have filed the dec action.

Nobody files a dec action about potentially defamatory information unless they expect to win.
