Highest ranked SEC team in the last CFP poll not to make the playoff goes to the Sugar Bowl, so unless they somehow put a 10-2 bama who we beat head to head over a 10-3 LSU, we would be in the sugar bowl.

You’re forgetting Tennessee. If Tennessee wins out and LSU loses to UGA in Atlanta, I think 11-1 Tennessee with a head-to-head win would almost certainly be ranked higher than 10-3 LSU. So Tennessee would probably get the Sugar Bowl nod.

For sure.

UT could beat TCU by 100 on Saturday - they still wouldn't be in 1st after the game.

It’s all about the money so Alabama would be picked over LSU. Bowl and city want to fill hotels and restaurants with traveling fans, not locals and drive ins.

If we go 11-2 winning the SEC, it’s obvious we are in the CFP, but in the case we go 10-3 and Notre Dame wins out going 9-3, wouldn’t mind facing them and watching BK boat race his former team and ex-fanbase.

I saw a projection that had Alabama and Okie State in the Sugar Bowl and LSU and Illinois in the Citrus Bowl.

Unless Tenn loses, they would be ranked higher than us in this scenario at 11-1 and we would not go.
