I know what section you are talking about it's 236, its like that for every game and im pretty sure its not part of the student.

Actually, you really didn't say that at all. You just said that the student section deserves to be cut down because they can't fill a section that turns out to be for an unrelated group.

+1,000,000,000. This tool just touches himself at night thinking about his days at a student and how much cooler he was than the current batch. He knows he had no clue what he was talking about, and tried to change his original claim.

If I am not mistaking I think a company owns a lot of that section you are referring to.

Pretty sure that is a section for adjunts to LSU (like the Law school/Med school/etc). NOT the general student section.

You are correct sir. Newsflash, that section will probably be empty for Bama and Ole Miss as that is right around exam time for them.

Dude, you definitely don't know what the hell you are talking about! Our Med school tix (and Dental school for that matter) are general admission (student section) just like any other student in Tiger Stadium. Me, my GF, and three other friends stood in line at 11:15 AM to get a good spot...we sat in bottom of section 220 which is one section to the left of where the band used to be. We had great seats...so, don't give me this BS about it being Med schoool students that didn't attend the game.

WRONG!!! It was section 236 (just to the right of the scoreboard if you are looking at the North endzone from the South endzone)...That section is not for students!!! Go look it up under facilities on LSUSPORTS.NET!

that section will be empty for the BAMA game b/c they have exams at that time

WRONG AGAIN!!! Our 2nd block of testing is next week! We will be partying it up for the BAMA game! And, BTW, even if our exams were scheduled for the week after the BAMA game, I would still go to the game. When you study for three straight weeks for a test, you should be allowed to take a break for a day to watch LSU beat up on the Gumps!!! Right???

If you're a first year, sure... Just kidding. Congrats for being in med school, I'm sure you're way smarter than me. I had a buddy that was in LSU med school and pointed the section out to me a few years ago.

I don't ever remember that section being reserved for Med school students. I had friends that were in Med school while I was at LSU in '03 and '04 that would come sit with me during the games...They would get LSUHSC general admission student tickets (just as we get now) which would allow them to sit anywhere in the student section area. Now, all we have to do is show the ticket along with our LSUHSC I.D., and we are good to go

OK people the student section ends with section 236. This is the upper right of the student section. Since the students all coem in gates 6 and 7 they flock to where the crowd is. There were plenty of people standing in between rows that could have had seats over there, but they jsut choose not to or dont realize its ok to not sit in the northwest corner. It;s not med school law school or anything special. Its just the furthest section away from the entrance.

Definitely a student section. What kind of student section? I have no idea. But I do know the students were the frickin idiots that pulled out all the beach balls.

and I look up and the student section has a huge gap of empty seats in it (right of scoreboard).

OK let me explain to you how this works.

lets say the assigned general admission is 20,000 seats for students... they hand out 20,000 student tickets for every game... well everyone fights for better seats so they get pushed around to the lower parts and as close to chair backs as possible... so you basically have 19000 (yes i admit around 1000 students dont come to each game) crammed into 15,000 seats. thats why their appears to be a empty section.

thanks for trying to be hard core.

AS i've been saying as a current student, we need to have a significant number of tickets reduced.

Try to limit it to only the diehard fans using the priority point system.
Don't make them so 'easy' to get online where anyone can go along and get them.
Make freshmen pay a premium so that only the passinoate ones will get tickets.
Sell the rest to people who want to buy season tickets for an assload of $.

I know its all kind of extreme, but our student section (the top half only) is HORRIBLE and shouldn't exist. There is no more magic there. Frat boys and sorority girls and casual onlookers take up 10,000 plus seats.

The rest of the stadium is bad as ever, too, but the student section isn't holding up its end of the bargain.

student section really doesn't need more than 12000 seats (assuming there are 20k) these days. LSU is becoming less and less LA kids and more and more people from outside the city/state.

Everything south and left of the scoreboard (top row on that pic, there) can be rationed off.

Disagree with this part. So I can't go to the LSU games because I don't want to make the trip back to BR from home over the summer just to buy tickets?
