I have tickets in 407 and 422 (both south end zone), and they are great seats but for the big games, I dig the students' section. I'm definitely a stand a yell type of guy, and even though I graduated I'm ralatively still young, so I blend in.

Even when I was in college I sat in my family's seats. I hate the student section to sit in, but love the volume that comes from it.

How many of those tickets were given to you by Songy?

Sit in the student section when you're a student. Otherwise, try to incorporate some life into what is now a much milder TS.

I would much rather the student section, especially the big games. General admission is easier to bring alcohol in, but I like to stand up most of the game, and can't deal with the "down up front" folks.

man the SS just isnt the same as back when I was there in 2009. Man it seems like such a long time ago. Students now know nothing

i much rather not rush to the game X amount of time before kickoff just to get a shitty seat. I like to tailgate too much and much rather spend the extra 2 hours getting nice and sauced up and go sit in a general admission seat.

I have been to EVERY game since 1993... this is another of the Tiger Rant myths. Tiger Stadium is the same is it has ever been... the difference, we were more excited to beat MSU in the down years and now it is a ho humm game. You have to keep it in perspective. The big games are still the same.

I think the general consesus is that the student section has sucked since about 2005. I was there from 03-07 and noticed a big change the last couple years

im a student and i love the student section. dont know what imma have to do once i graduate. the only problem with the student section is that now a lot of students go because "the football games are the thing to do" and thats why alot of people leave early. you still have a majority of rabid crazy fans in there but there is a growing percentage of casual fans. its not inherently a bad thing but it does cause a decrease in the intensity. the good thing is that they know their place and dont get in the way of the crazies like in the general admission seats.
that and its alot harder to scream frick YOU REF! when there are toddlers sitting in front of you.

Is that why the stadium was only 1/4 full after the 3rd quater last year in the overtime Arkansas game????? That was an embarrassement.

09 Florida was the loudest pregame I've ever been on the field for.

Dude, you and the poster above who's 42 need to sit with the grown ups. A gazillion years ago, when I was actually a student, I enjoyed sitting in the student section. I cannot imagine how weirded out I would have been if someone my dad's age was sitting next to me, but I can imagine what my friends and I would be saying behind the guy's back. I can understand if you actually are a student and if sitting in the student section is the only way you can afford tickets to the game. Otherwise, grow up.

Yea I bet it has changed so much. I wouldn't know because I'm a student now and we resemble a nursing home when it comes to in-game excitement. Get over yourself dude. You're just pissed off that you aren't there anymore and didn't get to experience a National Championship season along with some of the greatest games in Tiger Stadium history
