Might need a big ST play for LSU to win it though, UGA seems to be hangin their hat in the fact they've played two pretty solid teams so far, which could be a edge for them

I'd definitely give them the edge on SOS.

Yeah you have to. They've trailed, been punched in the mouth and responded.

LSU hasn't trailed, hasn't played a team as physical as UGA so while we all think they would/will respond just fine if/when that happens, we don't really know it. UGA as a team knows how to fight back

This is a must win for both teams. Georgia might be the best team left on LSU's schedule. Georgia likes throwing to their tight ends and Gurley is a special running back. Our linebackers and safeties will have to cover and tackle. The fourth quarter will be huge. The LSU offense will have to keep the defense off the field. The team with the deepest bench, could be the team that comes out on top.

It's hard to compare two teams that haven't played in a while.
To me (trying to not be a homer) LSU looks like the faster, more physical team.

Don't tell me N Tx caught them sleeping.... that game was tied in the 3rd. N Tx didn't have the depth to keep up but their 1s were beating GA for a lot of that game.

Tigers flex some muscle Saturday. Cam won't be coasting at any point in this one.

Not really. 14 PTs came off a blocked punt and a 98 yd kickoff return. NT had one decent drive in the first half though. And did play hard. The UGA o was more of a issue. Murray threw a int in the endzone and didn't look sharp at all early

Um, they did and we were. Think about it: 2 straight games against top 10 teams, then a bye, then a top 10 team coming in the next week. That is the ideal scenario for NT to catch us sleeping. And the game wasn't even as close as the score.

You can make yourself feel better by believing that. N Tx was able to match UGA physically until late in the game...that's what I saw.

It more looked like that UGA just wasn't fired up to play N. Texas. They will be this weekend.

You're a fool if you think that Mett is even close to Murray, or that LSU's offense is as good as UGAs.

Mett is not near as good as his numbers currently indicate. 8 of his 10 touchdowns have come against UAB and Kent State. He has 2 touchdowns and 1 int total against AU and TCU. He has a 55% completion percentage in those 2 games as well. LSU hasn't played a true road game this year and when they played on a neutral field Mett had a 50% completion percentage.

UGA as a team averages over 100 more pass yards per game and only 7 less rush yards per game and that's against superior competition (UGA 6 in SOS and LSU 61).

And those saying UGA struggled with NT didn't watch the game. UGA had 645 total yards while NT had 245. One of NT's touchdowns came on a KR where there was an obvious block in the back, and another touchdown that came because they blocked a punt where they had a high snap.

Gurley is our version of Hill.

LSU wins at: OL, DL, WR and Secondary

GA wins at: QB (although I personally like Mett in the pocket better) Overall numbers go towards Murray.

LSU and UGA share a draw in the special teams and RB departments

Lots of points will be scored in this game. If we don't turnover the football, we should win.

Major weakness for UGA is ST. Mediocre punt and kickoff returners. Suspect kickoff coverage. Kicker is inconsistent to say the least. Although, UGA has a good punter booming it at 48 ypa. The punt defense is top tier in conjuntion with the good punting.

Major strength for UGA is Gurley and the WRs. Top 3 are physical and strong receivers. Good blockers that will make the difficcult catch. Another true freshmen just caught a 98 yarder last week for a school record. Two very good TEs. Two very good pass rushers as well. It'll be interesting how they perform going up against a traditional offense opposed to what Scar and Clem run.

I'm hoping he evacuates that consideration out completely from his mindset. I just want him to be himself and not try to prove anything. I think Cam will get this straight with him, and he will be much more concerned about 1) LSU playing its best, winning and retaining the goals of SEC and NC titles, and 2) Showing continued progress in his last year as a college QB as he phases for the Pros.

How he compares to Murray can only hurt him. He is self-motivated. Do his best, and all will end good.
