never talk to police

Never talk to police. Especially if you are innocent.

Allegedly is exactly what it means, doesn't mean it is true.

"NFL.com on Wednesday reported that Collins had originally agreed to submit to a paternity test on Monday after the draft."

LINK

I read somewhere else that stated that this was his ex-girlfriend and that it was "allegedly" his baby she was carrying. That doesn't mean it is his baby, that will obviously be determined after the paternity test.

That is coming from a defense attorney that has probably lost more than a few cases because their client gave away incriminating evidence on himself that would have been stopped prior to giving that evidence if their attorney were present at the time of the interview.

If you have done nothing wrong, then you should not be worried. Matter of fact if it is someone you care about or did care about that has been murdered and you are completely innocent of any involvement yet you can help the police catch the killer then you have a moral obligation to do the right thing and try and help. Look at it from the victims family point of view "which is the only point of view that should be considered" wouldn't you want all the help you can get in catching the individual or individuals that did this?

If you are innocent you should have nothing to fear, it is the right thing to do.

No. Just No. Especially if you are an ex-bf and they are asking to interview you about details. You can speak to the police through your lawyer. A simple google search for "innocence project" or "police interrogation tactics" or "false confessions" or "how police clear murders" would show how wrong this is.

You have a lot to fear from talking to the police about the murder of a close associate. If you get to the point that the police want to interview you at the station about it after the fact, you need a lawyer.

Exactly why he went to Br. To take a paternity test at request of the police. To you know, determine the father of a poor child who just lost their other parent.

If he's still worrying about the draft at this point, he's probably innocent of any wrong doing. This is what I hope at least. Prayers for the victim and her family. Catch the perp too.

Life isn't a Law and Order episode, they don't have to name you a suspect, and they can arrest you as a "person of interest" if they want to.

I really don't know what's happening with this, and doubt that he did anything. That said, it seems that in other relatively high profile cases, people are called into questioning as "not a suspect" and later become the "suspect." In other words, it seems like a far more complicated process.

The police saying you're not a suspect doesn't really mean shite.

Police Say Aaron Hernandez is Not a Suspect

I hope La'el clears his name soon. As for the others, maybe it will be a sign to not declare early and get a year of playing time that we all knew they needed. Jalen Collins was never a first round lock, Neither was Hunter. Yet.......here we are?
