“So my height will always be my height. It’s only a number to me and I think the only number that really counts is the number of wins that you get.”

me too.
I guess i'm old school but i'm an alum and I love LSU and I actually care what kind of coach and player rep this great university. I think Brandon Harris and Lindsey Scott are outstanding young people and love that they are at LSU. I couldn't believe Scotts interview about the class LSU signed. he just seems to be what all parents want their son to be like. the future is in good hands with these guys and the others like them.

“One thing that you can’t measure is my work ethic,” Scott said. “You can ask my coaches and my players, there’s plenty of times that I’m just sitting in the film room studying, studying, studying or I’ll jump into some workouts.
Man, this really hits home right here. This is what most truly successful athletes have, perfect measurables or not. I am pumped for this kid, thanks for posting the article

I watched is highlights.
Quick and not too in depth observations.
Positives.
Kid has great awareness. A great deal of the good QB work is done prior to the snap. Scott appears solid in that area.
Solid running ability.
Reasonably strong arm. Not great, but decent enough.
Seems to choose the right receiver quickly.
Negatives.
Kind of has a funny throwing motion. It isn't bad per se, but it is a bit odd. Certainly not prototype.
Footwork setting to pass has to be worked on. I suppose you can get away with that odd back leg crouching thing he does in HS, but, if you're gonna play around 6 foot tall, you're gonna have to stand taller in the pocket in college.
I don't personally think his height is necessarily a deal breaker. I mean, it's not ideal obviously. Dude is never setting foot in the NFL at that size at QB. But, many guys have been successful in college not being ideal height.
Final though. Kid is obviously smart. And, especially in college, smart is a much bigger deal at QB than the average fan thinks.
He'll need to be smart. He's not going to out athlete the SEC. He's going to need to be a bit of Herb Tyler type guy who does the right thing more often than not and stays out of trouble on the field.

You might one watch more indepth.
- flips the ball 50+ yds in the 1st few minutes with a flick of the wrist
- 1900 yds rushing suggest more than decent running ability. Powerful and quick
- release is quick and compact.
- Go watch Russell Wilson's highlights in HS . Very similar in many respects.
- he doesn't need to be special in the SEC. It's a run heavy league, play action pass. Scotts skill set exceeds those requirements.
- Band wagon syndrome - it's what what I predict will happen when this kid takes us to a natty, and these TD experts are riding his nuts

Kid just has a great attitude and a willingness to learn (not to mention he is apparently very intelligent). I just hope our coaches can get him where he needs to be. Do I think this kid is going to be the next NFL superstar? Probably not, but that doesn't mean he can't be great at LSU and maybe, just maybe he could play in the NFL one day.

Excellent story. He seems like the kind of QB that is a winner.
Looking forward to see what Scott does at LSU compared to what a prima donna peacock douche nozzle like Franks does at UF.

Height problem - Russell Wilson and Drew Breeze say hello. The distance between his ears is more important than the distance from the ground. Seems like Scott has that covered and the kid can definitely play ball.

He has some current flaws but appears to see the field well and we know he's smart. Hence, he may be able to provide solid play.
I didn't give him a virtual blow job but I didn't say he sucked either.
