The Texas Bowl is the perfect entree into the new cost conscious days at LSU. The football will be plenty good enough, it will be on tv, and best of all - much cheaper than other bowls.
Hotels will be cheaper, everyone can drive instead of fly, and the schedule takes you out of New Years premium pricing. Savings across the board. And it's not like we'll play on an 80 yard field with 9 players on each side.
Keep on bitching. I'll be enjoying the extra coin in my pocket as I sit down to a 9.99 Outback sirloin after the game.

Next Year New Orleans Bowl. Might as well wrap it up before XMAS.

Maybe we'll be good enough to make it next year too!

of course after you and your date knock down some cocktails and a dessert and add the tax and tip you're into the meal for about 100 bucks.
cocktails are way too expensive in Houston man. they even add a sales tax on top of their cost.
so if you're gonna spend 100 bucks at a cheap steakhous buy prime steaks and a bottle of real good wine and stay at home for about the same price and probably get some good lovin' too. quality advice from a quality fan.

C'mon man. This isn't about being poor - it's about enjoying reasonable football at reasonable prices. LSU isn't Harvard in the classroom, no sense in pretending we're a the best on the field either.
Now if only TAF was going ahead and making the west stadium club the "economy club section".

Yeah, you might come out, ahead, even after the Anus, TX wetbacks break into or outright steal your vehicle.

All of you do yourselves a favor and endure the "game" from LA. I've been living in or in the vicinity of that glorified landfill for longer than should be allowed.

LSU - a taste for champagne on a beer budget.
