If Southern Miss and LSU both win their openers, I would guess Southern Miss would go with Gabe Shepard. But Stevie Powers is also a possibility.
ETA: Unless Shepard goes in Game One. Southern Miss's ace had to pitch two games in the CUSA Tournament to get Southern Miss this far.

The opponents (2 Arizona State, 3 Southern Miss, 4 Stony Brook) look favorable for LSU to advance to the supers. No team in there as scary as Baylor, NCSU or Miami.

USM has been really good lately and Arizona can hang 20 runs on LSU pitching. I don't think either are a good match up. Wouldn't shock me to see either of those 2 come out of the regional on top. Don't think people are giving enough credit to those 2 teams but they definitely have harder regionals.

We just struggle so much at the plate that I don't see us putting together enough offense to win a regional, but who knows.
