Stingley two way player next year?

CBS brought it up again in the game but I thought they already said that O was kidding when he said that, I could see him come in offense for a play or two but don't see him in consistently

I think it was the Auburn game where they said that was the plan but for his Junior year, not next. But yes, he is planning on playing WR as well in 2021

Coach O promised him to play both ways had he come to LSU. It could be 2-5 snaps a game for all we know. Sure not an every down WR & CB. If that’s what it takes to get the best corner prospect in a decade then I’m all for it

About 80% of our punt returns have been out of “punt safe” looks where we keep our defense in the field to watch for a fake and don’t even block for a return. Fair catch is all you can do (which Stingley learned after he fumbled trying to return a punt with the punt safe unit on the field).

O did promise him and he also wanted to do it this year but Derek Stingley SR. said to slow this down and let him learn how to be a dominant CB first. Next year.

I don't have the link, but I remember that one of the LSU reporters clarifying that after the Auburn Game and saying that Coach O was just joking...
