"Sources: Carolina Panthers assistants Jake Peetz (QBs) and D.J. Mangas will be in Baton Rouge later Monday and will interview Tuesday with #LSU coach Ed Orgeron for the two offensive coordinator spots on staff. Mangas spent 2019 with Panthers OC Joe Brady at LSU."

I don't have the link, but I remember that one of the LSU reporters clarifying that after the Auburn Game and saying that Coach O was just joking...

According to Cody Worsham's podcast today, Joe told the Vandy guy that because of that hit "he is going to hang 500 on them".

Yep. LINK

I know he is technically a sophomore but I don't remember him playing any significant amount of time last year...

Our Other Star Receivers …

Cody Worsham recently interviewed Chris Blair in his podcast (Hey Fightin’ , an amazing podcast by the way) and asked him about his prediction for three breakout players from the newcomers based on his observations during fall camp. He spoke highly of Trey Palmer but insisted that Jaray Jenkins is somebody that is truly outstanding, makes spectacular plays, and has knack for getting open. The third one is Clark.

I can’t wait to see more of these new receivers, probably, starting with the second half of this coming game…

I know the dislike for Yahoo hacks around here, but there are some gems in this piece, written by a journalist embedded with the Texas team for the LSU game week.
Enjoy…

“During bed check at the team hotel the night before the LSU game, a group of special team players awaited Texas coach Tom Herman with the most fitting tradition — an elaborate skit by the specialists. Linebacker Cort Jaquess dressed up as Ed Orgeron, with the sketch introduced as an alternate reality: What if Herman had taken the LSU job and Orgeron was the head coach at Texas? Herman cracked up and nodded approvingly at every one of Jaquess’ deep Cajun growls.”

“Gameday traditions include obstacle courses with pillow fights and dance circles.”

“There was plenty of laughter and mocking of the crude LSU fans’ spelling and accents. Ehlinger joked in the offensive staff room that he could picture a caller, who’d made multiple crude references to a tiger’s anatomy, sitting on his couch with “three teeth and a bottle of whisky.”

The best parts
quote:

“Ehlinger sat alone at his locker and stared at the ground. He fiddled with a wristband in his hands, and after two minutes of a blank expression he peeled off his black socks. He tossed them to the ground in disgust and resumed sitting slumped, eyes fixated on the ground.”

“The Texas coaches’ locker room carried a similar shell-shocked vibe. Defensive coordinator Todd Orlando, after his unit gave up 573 yards, sat shirtless and motionless on a leather chair for about four minutes. He occasionally shook his head in disbelief.”
