Probably smart. He is already considered a first rounder. He will run MUCH faster at LSU Pro day on that turf and with stop watches in his own "backyard" than electronic at Indy, plus it gives him more time to heal/prepare.

The combine has been getting more and more irrelevant for several years now since the NFL decided to turn it into a TV show. Also some GMs (Jeff Ireland) like to ask questions like "Why is your mom a slut?" and then will lower that players draft grade if he attempts to stand up for himself.

Don't forget that some events are rushed to fit it on a TV schedule, so not all players get equal rest between events. Then factor in that you can get the exact same info at pro day, it's like what's the point of the combine?

LSU Pro Day will bring him all the evaluation he needs. Plus, combine may enforce COVID restriction BS, which may prevent some of his support staff to attend.

Bitchy fan is a bitch.

I didn't say he was a huge disappointment. I didn't offer an opinion at all, actually. I said he had one great year. Everything else regarding what he could or should have done over the last two years is anybody's guess, depending on whether you believe it was due to injuries or lack of will.

Again, syntax just means the words are in the proper order to convey a meaning in English. It has nothing to do with implication. Just means he got the words in the proper order in the sentence.

Jesus Christ dude lol.

Ok let’s try this for you.

The proper order of words he used conveyed a meaning in English that implied something that was incorrect.

Also…
quote:

Oxford Dictionary defines syntax as "the arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language." Your syntax, or sentence structure, greatly affects the tone, atmosphere, and meaning of your sentence.

The syntax just means, essentially, that the sentence makes sense.

For example, "John rode his bike" is proper syntax. 'Bike his rode John" is improper syntax. It's really that simple.

It has nothing to do with implication or anything else. You remind me of a buddy of mine from law school. He loved to argue about anything and everything. I love the guy; it's just his way. Nothing wrong with that.

I apoligize to DS for bashing him previously. I didn’t know he had a lisfranc injury. I read that’s a debilitating and lingering problem

Thats simply incorrect, bud. Sorry. You can look it up. Or not. Whatever.

“When i tell people they are wrong, regardless of if im i right or not, they should not disagree, or cite evidence to their point. THat makes them argumentative. Why are all these argumentative people always arguing with me, a person who is definitely not argumentative”

Here’s a link to the Wikipedia page on Sytanx
It has plenty of info on how it affects the meaning of a sentence, and can be relational or implicative in nature.

Now go back to incorrectly telling people they are wrong, and then expecting complete adherence to your unassailable authority.

Bless your heart. I didn't realize you were so easily upset, or I never would have mentioned it.

Carry on, my wayward son. There'll be peace when you are done.

Stingley had a year that all washed up OT jocks would give a nut for. Injuries aside, he and his dad sort of tarnished his contributions here. Because of his dad, or at least it gives the appearance of, him being a quitter and sort of mailing it in after 2019. Justified or not, that’s what it looks like.

Seems like he would want to up his draft stock. Odd that he's skipping. Test off the charts and then sit back and wait for the call.

You can do this exact same thing at a pro day while controlling the variables and getting more time to recover from the surgery he had.

Way easier to overcome a skipped combine due to injury than it is to overcome a bad combine due to injury.

Ok, I'm going to try to educate some of you. The last time I did this I got blasted and every single word came true - so here goes.

This is the new normal. With the portal and NIL, here is what is getting ready to happen.
1. High school players - only need to play two - three years and get in line for your NIL, leave school a year early, enroll early at college, get your NIL bag. (Quin Ewers)
2. College players -- ONLY play one to two years at the most then sit our and wait for the NFL. (Bosa) By the way, look for the NFL to change to the NBA draft rule within the next 5 years allowing them to take players younger.
3. Pro players - play hard your first four years and get that big second contract. Play the minimum number of years to collect your guaranteed money and then retire at about 27-28 (Ali Marpet).

Bookmark this after you down vote me and come back in two to three years. It'll all be true. Sorry to inform you, this is where football is headed.

SHOCKER….not

His dream career is to somehow get 2 contracts off like 3 games of good play and the promise of elite play.

Ah, he’s an elite player. We just needed leadership so badly from a guy like him.
