I will wait and see.

Understand, I've always loved Stingley, but he still needs to prove himself some this year after the debacles of the past...

I remember when he practiced with the team before their bowl game literally right after he enrolled early, and Dave Aranda said he had the best/fastest feet of anyone on the field.

Dude played hurt last year and still graded out well on a poor defense. This year everyone else on the Thorpe watchlist is competing for second place

Always a smart arse in the bunch. Ricks is not better than Stingley Jr. however you are entitled to an opinion.

And why is that Mr. Penrod.. What makes you so sure about that?

He had one of the greatest Freshman seasons that I can recall, even better than Peterson and many other greats their freshman year. Last year was screwed up to say the least, his dad saying it was hard for him to get up for are we playing or not playing, due to Covid testing, protocols, contact tracing, crappy situation for all involved, games actually canceled.

He can make your statement look like garbage this year, where he gets drafted and first 2 years in the NFL... You say not even close to attainable? Come on... for a guy as talented as Stingley? If not a guy so talented as Sting, who then? Got any DB robots coming into college football this year?

You, sir are an idiot, or you need some glasses and go watch some tape.

Did you watch his freshman year at LSU, did you not hear Aranda say he was the best DB on the team when they were practicing for the bowl game and he was still in high school.

What debacles are you thinking about? Last year was shite, Covid year, are we even playing or not, another PCR test, plus, he was playing hurt. Scratch last year off.

If the NFL draft is now, he is #1 CB off the board and top 5 pick. So, what does he need to prove? He will just be himself like this video shows and that will solidify where I just put him. Where do you rank him now? Please tell me

Back to back All-American seasons are a "debacle?"

Not to mention the debacle of being the only true freshman on defense to be named Consensus All-American... Yeah...he has truly NOT lived up to being the #1 recruit for the class of 2019.

He did not play like an AA last year.

Probably due to injuries, but he needs to play up this year IMO...

he was covering 2 people most of the time bc the safeties were running around bumping into each other half the time.
if you knew anything about football, you wouldn't be questioning his ability.

I for one do not want him to get kicked off the team a month before the season starts.

His feet and ball skills have always been unreal. He looks solid as a rock (hands and upper body) in this video. He can press and blanket more this season by the looks of it - it will take a real special WR to get separation, no matter how fast they are. I'd love to see a cut of Stingley, Ricks, and the other DBs all doing these same drills.
