LSU was in every game in the 4th quarter except Auburn and bama.
We were a first-and-goal away against Missouri from being 6-4 and we were close against State and A&M.
Shelvin, Chase, Marshall and a healthy Brennan may have helped.

LSU and Ohio State are the only teams to not have a losing season in 24 of the last 26 years..

And in a normal season this team wins 10 games and nobody is pissed or panicking.

Lol, People were pissed and panicking when we were 11-0 and ranked #2 last year.

Can't agree more. Knocked off #6 and kept rolling.

I guess that is one way to put lipstick on a pig. It was nice that they finished with two wins amidst all the turbulence in the program (guys quitting midseason; Freshman making up a big part of the line up), but those two games didn't keep it from being a shitty season. It just made it a less shitty season.

LSU was due for a bad year. It happens. But I think you are forgetting Oklahoma in your comparison. They are now the only major conf program who hasn't had a losing season this century (LSU was in that group before this year)

No. We're not "happy" with 5-5 but.... we were 3 and 5 and had gotten blown out and completely dominated by Alabama. The consensus was - "we might now win another game".

We were down to our 3rd team QB and skill guys on offense and went to Florida and beat the #6 team in the country.

Then we hung in there and beat an explosive Ole Miss team.

This team could have called it quits at 3 and 5 and with all of the turmoil going on around them. But they didn't. These guys could have gotten their asses kicked in Florida but they didn't. They bowed their necks and dug in and they fought.

We finish the season with 2 solid wins and momentum going into Spring / the offseason.

Those 2 wins helped every aspect of our program - from recruiting to attracting new coaches.

One thing we can say for sure about Coach O - he knows how to bounce back. We've seen it over and over since he was named interim head coach.

We bounced back after the Troy loss. He's only lost 2 games in a row 1 time, in 4.5 seasons. And in 2018 we lost to Florida. Georgia came in next week and we were big underdogs... and we kicked that arse.

I'm proud of how the team finished. No doubt. And I feel pretty good that Coach O will make some solid hires and we'll have a chance to win 10 games next season.

Fact, FLA was not as good as advertised and we beat them without Pitts...... that horrible lose to OU doesn’t make me feel much better about beating FLA... yes the team finished at .500 but that defense was historically bad.

Yea and same can be said for NC run. What if Texas running back doesn’t drop a wide open TD pass?
