This part isn't true. Les Miles and the other coaches have seen something to put Jennings ahead of Rivers at this point.

I see this has gone downhill.

Jenning's redshirt was burned in the first game. If that's not meaningful evidence then you're never going to accept anything.

I don't know how else to explain it. Backups generally become starters once the players ahead of them are gone. No one ever questioned if Mett or Rivers would win the job after Lee and JJ were gone. It was Mett's job to lose. The starting job will be Jennings' to lose. That's how it works.

Can Rivers win it? Sure. But at this point it doesn't look likely, hence the reason for the OP.

Seriously though, if this kid has as much talent as his brother, and it never gets showcased, that would suck.

It's a nice problem to have at LSU, so many talented players, nowhere to put them all.

I think Cam's arrival at LSU keeps Rivers here even if he doesnt start. Dont forget thats the guy who coached his bro in the NFL.

Rivers is better than some of u guy's think. I just hope Les gives him a chance. I also like Jennings & think after 4 years we will be pretty good at QB for years to come.

Or is it more likely that Les & Cam go with the 2 QB option? Or does Rivers transfer?

All reports on Jennings is that he is a pocket passer that can run. He isn't necessarily a read option guy, like we saw from Boykin.

His upside isn't running with the ball, but using his athleticism to avoid the rush by moving around in or out of the pocket.

I would only see using him in a 2 QB system if we need him vs an opponent with a stout pass rush.

Ya got to understand, a lot of the little kids on here have some kind of weird agenda. They apparently don't like "Melanin Challenged" Drop Back Pro Style QB's that can't run fast.

They're absolutely salivating in anticipation of JennSwag being the starter in 2014.

Don't understand the complete fascination by the JennSwag Jock Sniffer Cult that has emerged on here over an athlete that has never seen ANY game action before. (BTW, awesome QB sneak against TCU )

They want Rivers to transfer and have already thrown Rettig in the garbage so their Boy will have clear sailing. Who's to say that Rettig wont emerge from a RS year looking like the second coming of Joe Montana in the Spring of 14? That's their fear.

No doubt in my mind that they want SR and HR out of the way so the JennSwag and HarriSwag Show can debut in 2014.
